Inspire and Change Hypnotherapy

Inspire and Change Hypnotherapy Welcome to Inspire and Change Hypnotherapy where I believe that changing how you think can change your life for good.

Hypnotherapy is a completely safe and natural therapy that is suitable for adults, teens and children. Hypnosis is defined as a relaxed state of heightened suggestibility, where you and your therapist can work together to achieve a change in attitude or behaviour. This relaxed state is similar to day dreaming or becoming engrossed in a great book, the important difference being that a professional

therapist will guide you to maximise this state of mind to make the changes you want in your life. Hypnotherapy is widely recognised for its success in alleviating many issues such as

Weight problems
Stopping smoking
Sleep disorders
Stress and anxiety attacks
Confidence and performance issues
Phobias

For those of you who have been missing in-person sessions, I’m working from my new clinic in Maidenhead today. Such a lovely space at Weir Bank in Bray, right by the river 💚

Just had the most wonderful feedback from a client who tried an online session for the first time this week.

"Thank you so much Elizabeth for the session today. As you know I was a bit worried about going online as as my past experiences with doing therapy online were pretty poor and I always worried that there would be awkward silences and I wouln't know what to say. But it was totally different to what I expected and you made me feel so comfortable and had me chatting away like I had known you for ages. I'm already looking forward to our next session." Paula, Berkshire

So if you are feeling hesitant about working remotely with a therapist, why not give it a go, you too might be pleasantly surprised!

To those of you that I haven’t had a chance to inform in person I wanted to let you know that I have fulfilled a long held dream and moved to Devon.

While much of my work is online and therefore unchanged, I am continuing to hold regular in-person clinics for my Maidenhead and London clients.

I’ll try not to bore you all too much with pictures of the sea and countryside and hope to see many of you online or in person over the coming months.

A little reminder for this time of year - take a Vitamin D supplement.

Vitamin D plays an important role in regulating your serotonin levels - the happy feel good hormone.
NICE (National Institute for Clinical Excellence) recommends that all adults and children in the UK take a vitamin D supplement between October and March. This is because our sunlight at this time of year is not powerful enough for us to make all the vitamin D we need.
I use this BetterYou spray one so it bypasses the digestive system. It tastes lovely and minty too 😍

Mental Health Awareness Week

The theme for 2024 is movement and how important moving and exercising is for good mental health. When I talk to my clients we focus on the 5 Pillars for good mental health. Number 1 is Exercise! It doesn't matter what type of exercise you do - walking, running, game of tennis or netball, a yoga or pilates class, dancing around to your favourite music, just do it for 20-30 minutes every day. If you exercise outdoors you also tick off Number 2 of the Pillars - getting outside for 30 minutes a day.

So what exercise will you do today to nourish your mental health?
