Happy international women’s day to all of our tribe out there! Here is a little intro to our shewolves who work in clinic and every day strive to make the world a better place. Our little team of ladies each have an amazing story to share and we thought that there was no better time to do that than today.

1. Meet Laura our clinic owner. Laura started her chiropractic business in 2009 all alone with no backing and has built and expanded, changed and adapted. Started a business in a recession, survived covid and now enjoys supporting her team, a few clinic hours whilst also looking after her grandchildren (yes you read that right) and running the Marbella International Film Festival with her husband in her ‘spare’ time.
2. Sarah, our Myofascial therapist who has never let ‘a little thing like being blind’ stop her from.. for example, getting a PhD or teaching or researching or even starting her own business. Sarah is incredibly respected for her work in the profession and is constantly learning to offer more tools and ways to help her patients.
3. Francesca, our chiropractor who is also a national and international taekwondo champion and has taken her chiropractic debut by storm. Now, two years in, Francesca is presenting workshops and teaching classes and everybody knows the amazing chiropractor who can turn her hand to any sport! Francesca is our clinic ‘baby’ but has very quickly established herself as the clinic mother who looks after everyone.
4. Kim, you probably haven’t met Kim yet… we haven’t even had the chance to introduce this pocket rocket masseuse. Kim has over 20 years practise experience and has some how managed to squeeze that in whilst winning business awards and also helping to rehabilitate her son in his recovery from a brain tumour whilst he was still a baby. Every single one of these tasks are a full time job in itself, we don’t know how she has managed it!

I think it is far to say that whoever you see here, you are in great hands and now you know a little bit more about who these amazing ladies are 🩷

Meet Mark everyone! Mark has joined the team as a sports and massage therapist and you can see Mark Saturday and Sunday afternoon and evenings! Do you plank? Plank is an amazing exercise and with so many variants like side plank, high or low plank, 1 leg, 1 arm, rowing, shoulder tapping… it can even be a fun exercise. The question is, do you plank correctly or do you find your body hurts during or even afterwards? Don’t get us wrong, aches and pains and DOMS happen but there is a difference between DOMS and pain because you injured yourself from poor form. Here is what to look out for when doing a plank.

This week is also deaf awareness week. Did you know that the first ever chiropractic adjustment was performed on a deaf man? We’re not claiming to cure deafness but thought it an appropriate story for today’s post.

So we are half way through national screen free week. I’d say a week away from your screen when you’re not on holiday, at least these days, is impossible 🙈 We don’t like to be so idealistic that we aren’t relevant to people but we do like to educate and raise awareness and sometimes if you understand what damage you are causing to yourself, you may think more about how you can help yourself. 💻 If you do work at a desk, try and keep your monitor at eye level and if you use two monitors, try and keep the screens in a v shape to avoid turning more to one side creating a strain through the body. 🔗 Don’t forget that this month we are offering FREE spinal screens at our clinic so if you are suffering or just curious, click the link in the bio and call the clinic to book in.

So now we have found our favourite world day so far! Here is a chocolate mousse recipe using olive oil 🫒
🌟Here’s a few little known facts in the benefits of olive oil which Spanish doctors recommend incorporating into your daily diet:
🫒 According to studies, taking olive oil is associated with a decreased risk of cardiovascular disease
🫒 According to studies, olive oil can increase longevity
🫒 Olive oil contains antioxidants like vitamin E and polyphenols, which can help protect the body from damage caused by free radicals
🫒 Olive oil may also help protect against heart disease, Alzheimer’s, type 2 diabetes, and some research suggests it might have anti-cancer properties
🫒 live oil contains an antioxidant called oleocanthal, which mimics the effects of pain medication like ibuprofen
🫒 Olive oil has strong anti-inflammatory properties, which can help reduce inflammation in the body
