We got the keys in early March, and as of this weekend, Restwell Retreats is officially open.
The last four weeks have been exhausting, fast-paced, but easily the most rewarding thing we've ever done. We wanted to create a step-free holiday home in Whitstable where people with disabilities and their carers could enjoy a real holiday.
To do this, we’ve built the bungalow with accessibility at its core, from the wet room’s height-adjustable sink, to the bedroom’s ceiling track hoist, and the added sparkle of optional support during the stay provided by Continuity of Care Services ✨
We are eternally grateful to Thor Carpentry, Wealden Rehab, and CareSpaces, who understood our vision from day one and worked incredibly hard to help us bring it to life. We couldn't have done it without you!💙
