Join Our Patient Participation Group!
We’re excited to announce the launch of our Patient Participation Group (PPG) and we’d love for you to be part of it! This group gives patients like you the chance to work together with us to help improve our surgery and the services we provide.
So, what is a PPG?
A GP (General Practitioner) Participation Group, also known as a Patient Participation Group (PPG), is a group of patients, carers, and GP practice staff who meet to discuss practice issues and patient experience to help improve the services offered by the practice. PPGs are a contractual requirement for all GP practices in England.
For more information, please check out this guide:https://www.carnoustiemedicalgroup.co.uk/docs/ppguide.pdf

Important NHS functions have been impacted by Microsoft's worldwide problems, as the medical computer system EMIS is not working.

At the moment, all of our computer systems are unavailable due to the global Microsoft disruption.
We are not able to obtain any patient data.
We ask that you contact us on Monday when we are back up and running, and that you only call if you have an urgent medical issue.

GPs use the EMIS system to schedule appointments, access patient records, issue prescriptions, and make referrals. Prescriptions cannot be issued and even if they were written by hand, the issue would still impact the pharmacies. The issue is bad enough for hospitals, but it's hurting everything in the area.
