Welcome

Welcome to Forget Me Not Funerals. We are a new Independent Funeral Directors offering a friendly, personal service in the Maidstone area and throughout the whole of Kent.

My name is Diane and my background is in Homecare, caring for people in their own homes who may suffer from Dementia, physical or mental disabilities, learning disabilities, and may be receiving End of Life Care. I found that whilst caring for those at the end of their life, many people had not thought about what they would like to happen when they died. Friends and family were often left with no idea of what to do, sometimes not even aware of whether or not their loved ones wanted to be buried or cremated. This is how the idea of Forget Me Not Funerals came about. I thought that if I could help people to think about what they would like to happen and perhaps make an advanced care plan , together with friends and family, then it would be easier on everyone and make for a more peaceful end journey. Speaking to people who had done this, it had seemed to set their mind at rest knowing that everything was settled and their final journey was planned.I have also taken part in some training in bereavement support and have found this particularly useful when working with friends and family of those receiving end of life care, who sometimes need someone who will just listen or maybe offer a shoulder to cry on. I would like to continue to offer support to these people, even after the funeral. To this end, I will be holding regular tea and coffee afternoons on a monthly basis at our premises, for anyone who would like to come along for a chat and a cuppa!

If you would like me to assist you to a make an advanced care plan or if you are recently bereaved and would like to arrange a funeral, please contact me on:
