..all in its first year!
The team celebrated this week with a birthday cake and a scrapbook of photos showing the centre’s journey from building site to accredited elective surgical hub.
Clinical Director for Trauma and Orthopaedics, Mr Lee David said: “This time last year we welcomed the first patients and since then the centre has gone from strength to strength.
"We achieved GIRFT accreditation in less than a year – receiving excellent feedback following our assessment – and have helped thousands of people regain their mobility and independence through planned orthopaedic surgery.
“We’re continuing to make improvements for our patients and look forward to seeing what achievements next year will bring."
