Manual therapy…
📚 Manual therapy involves the manipulation, mobilisation, and massage of tissue in order to: relieve pain and stiffness, improve blood circulation, help drain fluid from parts of the body more efficiently, and improve the movement of different parts of the body (NHS, 2022).
The reduction of pain, swelling, and restrictions during movement are primary goals during the initial phases of rehabilitation, and must be addressed through manual therapy prior to returning to previous levels of activity.
If you’re currently struggling with mobility restrictions during your daily or sporting activities, this form of therapy could be perfect for you.
