Move with ease

Move with ease Clinical sports massage therapist specialising in chronic pain recovery based in Kent & online
(1)

My yoga classes blend traditional yoga poses (asana) with Slings Myofascial Training and self-massage techniques. My students step off their yoga mats feeling invigorated and have increased movement ease. My clients have the added advantage that I am a Clinical & Sports Massage Therapist, currently studying BTEC level 6 (degree level) in ‘Advanced Clinical Massage Therapy' with . Clients come to me when they are in pain and their movement is restricted. Following a full assessment to study their range of movement, and really listening to their pain story, I devise a massage therapy plan specific to each individual's needs. Each massage is offered with a nurturing and sensitive touch, valuing the whole person rather than one muscle. Following each massage I teach my clients either a stretch or strengthening exercise, meditation or breathing technique, or a self-massage technique. Therefore my clients feel empowered to enable themselves to live a pain free and joyous life!

If you’ve ever struggled with pain, Chris Hemsworth’s Limitless: Live Better Now (Disney+ / National Geographic) Episode 2 Pain is worth a watch.

The show explores how worry, frustration, and negative self-talk keep pain alive in the brain. And while Chris takes on extreme challenges (including pepper spray 😳), what struck me most is how closely the science matches what I see in practice as a Pain Reprocessing Therapist.

💡 Pain isn’t always a sign of damage — sometimes it’s your body saying you’re stressed, need rest, or even just need a laugh.

Some simple ways to build resilience:
✨ Notice how pain shifts and changes
✨ Pace yourself (don’t push through)
✨ Move in short, varied ways throughout the day
✨ Nourish your body, hydrate, reduce toxins

We don’t need extreme challenges to retrain our relationship with pain — gentle strategies are far more effective. 🌿

🛑 Tight muscles can keep pain switched on

When you live with chronic pain, it’s so common to carry extra muscle tension — often without realising it. Stress, frustration, and worry about the pain can keep your nervous system on high alert, while your body develops habits of bracing around sore areas.

This constant tension can keep sending “danger” signals to the brain, amplifying pain and limiting movement.

I’ve recorded a Progressive Muscle Relaxation session — part of the Embodiment in Pain Science Education I studied with the — to help you gently notice and release that tension. Over time, this can:
🌿 Reduce unnecessary muscle guarding
🌿 Calm the nervous system
🌿 Create a greater sense of safety in the body

My hands are trained in Clinical Sports Massage, Myofascial Release, Hot Stones, Cupping Therapy, and Tool-Assisted Techniques—all combined to help your body recover and move with ease.

Here’s a peek from a session this week: cups are gently working on the back and shoulders while my hands focus on the legs. This integrated approach melts tension and boosts recovery.

A plea to sponsor me 🙏 I’m running ½ marathon for Pain Concern - a chronic pain charity. I love running 5 miles…hate running 10 miles but love eating dates filled with nut butter as my running fuel and so I am sure to truly dislike running 13.1 miles but on the up side more dates for me! 🌈 10 years ago I couldn’t even walk 1 mile and so I’m grateful for having, like you, a truly amazing and adaptable body. Chronic pain recovery is possible with the right knowledge and set of tools, I know first hand. SO PLEASE SUPPORT ME BY DONATING- thank you ❤️

Pain Concern helps educate and support people living with chronic, persistent pain. I know firsthand how vital this work is—I was a chronic pain sufferer myself, and now I’m fully recovered.

This April, I’m running the London Landmarks Half Marathon to raise funds, and I’d truly appreciate your donation—whatever the amount.

More people need to know that chronic pain is reversible with the right expert support. As a wellness practitioner, I help people recover using clinical massage, Buteyko breathing, and Pain Reprocessing Therapy.

Client Review:
"What a wonderful lady. I had a painful shoulder and upper arm, which was relieved in one session. I was reminded of how important your breathing is for pain management and healing. I would highly recommend a visit." – Google Review

Thank you so much for your support!

Our Story

I am a fully qualified, passionate yoga and massage professional, teaching group yoga classes in Kent, private yoga sessions in the comfort of your own home and practice massage from my garden studio in Laddingford, Kent. My husband and I have three beautiful children who bring us much pleasure and joy, but also throw in a few (daily) curve balls; I use yoga as a tool to help centre me though these day to day challenges. I feel so lucky to have yoga in my life, and that I can share my passion for yoga with others, and luckier still that people trust me to guide them safely in their yoga practice and that I can bring further ease and balance to their body and mind through massage.
