Get walking!!

When you sit for about 20 minutes, blood flow to the brain begins to slightly decrease, which can slow neural processing and reduce alertness. Prolonged sitting may also cause temporary drops in attention, memory, and problem solving speed.

Walking creates the opposite effect. Movement increases circulation and delivers more oxygen and glucose to the brain. This supports neural activity and enhances creativity, focus, and cognitive performance.

Studies show that even short walking breaks, as little as two to five minutes, can improve mood, sharpen mental clarity, and make the brain more alert compared to continuous sitting.

If your thinking starts to feel dull, your brain may simply need movement.

Every time you skip your walk, your brain and body quietly take note.
Muscle isn’t just for the young or the vain but it is your life insurance policy.

It protects your joints, stabilizes your balance, boosts your mood and even helps your memory.

Yes, lifting weights might do more for your mind than another crossword puzzle!

The real problem?

Too many people “retire” from movement.
We treat the gym like it’s for athletes instead of medicine for everyone.
The truth is simple and uncomfortable.
If you stop challenging your muscles, your brain follows.

Don’t let comfort steal your strength.
Pick up something heavy, learn something new, move like your life depends on it.

Because it does.

22/10/2025

You weren’t designed to sit for 10 hours and scroll for 5 more.
You were built to move... TO LIVE
Ignore movement long enough and your body will remind you painfully.

So, move.
Daily.
Intentionally.
Relentlessly.

Because staying still is slowly dying.
