** New Product Development **
Chlor-Clean Wipes: In response to considerable demand from our customers we have developed a Chlor-Clean wipe, details of which can be found on page 5 of our new product brochure. Chlor-Clean Wipes are a unique product which can be used for mopping up small blood spills (in compliance with DoH recommendations) as well as general environmental disinfection of commodes and other patient associated equipment.

Today is World Hepatitis Day 2022.
World Hepatitis Day is held every year on 28th July, the birthday of Dr Baruch Blumberg who discovered Hepatitis B virus in 1967.

Hepatitis B virus (HBV) is an enveloped virus that can cause chronic and life threatening liver infections, cirrhosis and liver cancer. HBV is highly infectious and can be spread through exposure to infected blood and body fluids.

WHO estimates that 296 million people were living with chronic hepatitis B infection in 2019, with approximately 1.5 million new infections identified each year.

Did you know…………?
• People newly infected with HBV show no signs or symptoms
of infection.
• HBV can survive outside the body, can be transmitted in the
absence of visible blood and can remain infectious on
environmental surfaces for a minimum of 7 days!
During this time the virus is still able to be transmitted and
cause infection in a new host.

That is why it is important for all spillages of blood or blood-stained body fluids to always be treated as infectious and disinfected appropriately.

Guest Medical Haz-Tab Tablets and Granules, Biohazard Wipes, as well as Biohazard Spills Kits and Packs provide you with the most effective means of disinfection of blood-borne viruses such as HBV. Conformant to Department of Health guidance, these products all release 10,000 ppm available chlorine when in contact with a blood or blood-stained body fluid.

Biohazard Wipes are dual-purpose dry chlorine wipes impregnated with our Chlor-Clean formulation.
For Blood Spillages - Place dry directly onto the spill and the wipes will absorb the blood whilst disinfecting at 10,000 ppm available chlorine at the same time.
For General Environmental Cleaning and Disinfection - Moisten the dry wipe under the cold tap, squeeze out excess water and use to wipe over a surface just like you would with Chlor-Clean Solutions.
