What I like most about the job as a carer is being able to make a meaningful difference in someone's life. It's rewarding to provide support and improve someone's quality of life, whether it's through companionship, helping with daily tasks, or offering emotional support.

MEET A MEMBER OF THE TEAM!!

This beautiful lady is Asna, she is another Senior for the company and here’s what she said when we asked her about her job

Why I love my job
Who ever told me that anyone can do this job because it’s so easy. I explain to them that care workers are highly skilled professionals and that the job is hard but extremely rewarding.
I strongly believe that professionalisation—registration, better training standards, and development opportunities—are essential to ensuring good quality care. If we want happy people receiving social care, we must professionalise and invest in the workforce.
"I am kind, hardworking, and a good communicator. I am patient, a good listener, and I enjoy working closely with others, especially older people." I am friendly, chatty, and a hard worker.
Care work is indeed gratifying in the sense that care workers like me make a pretty comfortable living. But innate happiness inspires more than external rewards. I appreciate my profession, and we carers are socially motivated to help others.

What is my job
I provide support and assistance to another person who is unable to fully care for themselves due to age, disability, illness, or other circumstances. This support can encompass a range of activities, including personal care, medical tasks, and emotional support.

I have learned how to be patient, listen, and supportive, as well as professional and responsible to do my duty and take care of them both. Good interpersonal and communication skills are essential. Also, being able to listen and understand allows me to be an efficient carer.

MEET A MEMBER OF THE TEAM!!

This is one of our Senior Carers Shayna.
She has been with us for a year now and we asked her to tell everyone a bit about her job and what she enjoys about her job and this was her response:

“I love working at A Rated Homecare, I’ve worked in care home before and I loved that but being in the community and working with an amazing close team makes the job so much easier and gives me time to spend with clients getting to know them.
My job is to provide the highest standard of care to our clients and assist my team if they require and as a Senior member I am available if my manager requires it.
I have training in Dementia and Alzheimer’s which is a big interest area for me and I love that the company allows me to pursue additional training.
I love my job and I rarely take days off because I like to see my clients (and my team of course). There are aspects of the job that are difficult don’t get me wrong but that’s where having an amazing team and managers are so helpful to assist if needed. “

A Rated Homecare was founded by Tony because he wanted anyone to be able to have access to homecare that is affordable and family oriented. In care companies clients can become numbers and this is something we pride ourselves on NOT doing. Every client is a member of our family and we provide a high standard of person centred care to every client and their family.

We want to share A Rated Homecare and provide this service to as many people as we can in memory of Tony and everything he believed this company would be.

Tony was a kind, funny, passionate, full of life man and he will be greatly missed by all us at A Rated Homecare and we will continue to provide the high standard of care and continue his legacy as best as we can.
