Isn’t it interesting that we can feel painfully lonely in a crowd, or even surrounded by family and community and yet we can feel perfectly content just in our own company?

QUESTION 🤔

Have you ever noticed how we can all feel differently about the exact same thing, situation or circumstance?

We all have likes, dislikes and things that we don't mind, but not everyone will feel exactly the same about the same thing at the same time 🤔

How is this possible?

&

How is it possible that our minds can be changed?

🤔🤔🤔

iheart is an instruction manual that explains why we think, feel and behave the way we do.

It will answer these questions and many many more 💚

The iheart ecosystem 💚

The iheart ecosystem❤️

We talk about the mental health crisis enveloping our young people. In order to create a real paradigm shift, we believe that there needs to be a common language shared by teachers, parents and young people. Our programme supports the teachers of students and parents of children who are participating in the iheart programme. This gives the young person the best opportunity for a transformative learning experience.

All the supporters are viewing the same football match....Or are they? ️

It’s actually impossible for us to experience the exact same reality as others, as we do not have access to their psychological system.

During the recent iheart conference, Arron Poole, Head of Year History at Christ’s College Finchley expressed, “A moment when the penny dropped for me, was during a very powerful lesson about the notion of separate realities. There was a metaphor about a football match with 50 to 60,000 fans watching. I realised that there were actually 50 to 60 000 different experiences of the same football match. This has really, really helped instil a genuine ability to empathise with my students at a conversational level when dealing with behaviour, safeguarding, mental health and resilience.”

If we don’t realise that well-being and the ability to connect are innate, we often feel quite uncomfortable when other people disagree with us. We believe it can take away our wellbeing.
This is not possible!

What is iheart?
05/02/2021

What is iheart?

The iheart programme is a unique contribution to the field of young people’s preventative mental health education.

It shares a new way of understanding your mind. It is like an instruction manual that explains why we think, feel and behave the way we do.

This carefully structured programme, built on a scaffolded approach to learning, is delivered over the course of 11 sessions - each one has its own clear learning objective and a mix of interactive discussions, activities, self-reflections, summary slides, animations, videos and group exercises.

The new iheart curriculum is being launched in September. To find out more about becoming a facilitator or bringing iheart to your school please email cari@iheartprinciples.com

This ’sMentalHealthWeek we are wearing our clothes .

Why Inside Out? 👖
Inside Out Day, an initiative from Now and Beyond, encourages pupils and teachers to wear an item of clothing inside out as a reminder to be kind always, as you never know how someone is feeling inside – a simple premise and easy to implement.

is the UK’s first ever mental health and wellbeing festival for primary and secondary schools and we are delighted to have been invited to host a session at this event and we look forward to participating.

We are working hard behind the scenes on something BIG to help you all in these tough times…all will be revealed Friday! www.iheartprinciples.com/nowandbeyond
