Maldon Medical Aesthetics 28 years experience in the NHS, trained in skincare and aesthetics Like many, I have been in search of a miracle that will turn back the clock.

I joined the NHS in 1995 I am a qualified paramedic, registered with the HCPC, and have been working as an advanced paramedic since 2005. After over 25 years in the NHS I decided, in 2021, to branch out into skincare and aesthetics. I have experienced aesthetics from 'the other side' in my quest to delay the sign sf ageing and reverse some of the damage years of sunbathing have wrought on my skin.

(Spoiler; no such miracle exists!)
While I accept I am never going to look 25 again I have learnt that there are treatments that CAN make a difference; reducing lines and wrinkles; improving the tone and texture of the skin; adding contour and giving definition; revitalising dull skin: And that individually, or in combination, these treatments can improve appearance, and increase confidence. I embarked on several training courses so that I am now able to offer a range of treatments and advice to help other people improve the appearance of their skin, minimise imperfections that bother them, and improve confidence and wellbeing.

Why is the dried blood spot test important?

For optimally healthy cell membranes we should have an omega 6 : omega 3 ratio no higher than 3:1.
This ratio protects our cells from oxidative stress, which occurs when antioxidant levels get too low and our body becomes overwhelmed, unable to function properly, which can lead to cell damage.
