As women ‘doing nothing’ is often deemed to be lazy or a luxury! A generational belief perhaps that isn’t ours to carry.

And yet, from stillness comes great energy✨

🧘‍♀️It’s where our bodies restore & heal

🧘‍♀️It’s where we discover calm in an unpredictable world.

🧘‍♀️It’s where we learn to focus on the things we have control over & let go of the things outside of our control.

Generally my clients take very little time to be still.

Their lives are full with responsibilities; young adults, grandchildren, aging parents, work, the list is endless! 📝

Juggling so many plates, it’s a miracle they’re all still spinning! 🤹‍♀️😵‍💫

Creating space daily to be still is vitally important in this next season of our life💕

It’s elevenses & those Christmas high sugar goodies are calling for your attention! 🥧🍰🍩🍫

I know they are… 😂

The mince pies, the Christmas Cake, the Chocolate log, whatever else might be stored in your cupboard left over from Christmas & Boxing Day 🎄

Whilst we want to give ourselves a little bit of slack in our nutrition this time of year, there are some tips that can soften the blow of that blood sugar peak and crash! 💥

You know, the one that leaves you feeling sluggish, in a brain fog, bloated and sometimes a bit nauseous! 🙃

✨One of those tips is to add a dollop of Authentic Greek Yoghurt. The protein helps to slow down the release of sugar in to your body.

I use Fage as it has a high protein content, 9gms of protein per 100gms. M&S and Aldi’s Authentic Greek Yoghurt has a lower protein content but still good.

And let’s face it, doing something is better than doing nothing! ☺️

✨Along with the protein, Authentic Greek Yoghurt contains probiotics, live bacterial cultures, which also help to promote blood sugar management🦠🩸

✨Alternatively, save your Christmas sweet goodies for dessert and switch out the leftover cream for a dollop of Authentic Greek Yoghurt.

“One day, I’ll have the time to put myself first” she said as she slumped in the chair looking frazzled.

“I have too many work and family demands occupying my time to put my own health first!”

Maybe this is a thought or conversation you’ve had too?

It’s easy to fall in to the trap of looking after everyone else and leaving yourself at the bottom of the pile! 😳

In looking after everyone else we neglect our own health & wellbeing.

And yet…

If we get sick, how does that serve those we love & care for on a daily basis? 🤷‍♀️
