‘Paws-itive Vibes only!’
Athelstan residents have recently been visited by our furry friends, Stella and Siren, who work as trained therapy dogs. Spending time with pets and animals has been proven to show many therapeutic advantages and benefits, both physically and mentally.
Pets as therapy can increase physical activity, improve self-esteem, reduce stress/depression and decreases blood pressure all helping to promote a resident’s wellbeing.
Siren and Stella never fail to put a smile on everyone’s face with their waggy tails and we look forward to seeing them again soon.

‘Ending the week sweetly!’
Weekends start early at Athelstan House as we invite you to come and recline in our cosy communal lounge and enjoy a hot drink, great conversation and a delicious piece of cake.
Athelstan Cake Afternoons are held every Friday from 2pm – 4pm, all donations are gratefully received, and proceeds go to our Resident Amenity Fund.

‘Good rating, Great Party!’
To celebrate our recent CQC rating and to thank our wonderful colleagues for all their amazing care, compassion and hard work, we put on a party in their honour and invited all the residents to celebrate with us.
With good food, great company and lively music we danced through the afternoon and celebrated the team’s amazing achievement.
