What a busy August!

We are so pleased to have put our prominent windows on the High Street to good use taking part in the Scarecrow Trail and Bug Hunt Trail. Our scarecrow was representing Afternoon Tea in the best of British theme, thank you to all those who popped in whilst on the trail to comment on our efforts. The Bug Hunt certainly seemed popular throughout the Summer Holidays with many keen young detectives spotting our letter 'R' in the little display, thank you to the young lady who donated her butterfly to add to the display.

Also in August we were able to support the Carnival Quizz donating a prize and also the Little Somerford Teddy Bear Hunt, sponsoring a bear and donating a prize for the raffle.

It's not done yet, August was the start of the Art Trail in Malmesbury and we are privileged to display two pieces, an oil on panel 'The Red Ram' by Kathleen Siddall and a colored ink 'The Flow County, Caithness' by Keith Oram

Wishing Everyone a Fantastic Day at Hullavington Fete. It should be a fantastic day of fun for all.

We are so pleased to be offered the opportunity to support today's festivities. A special good luck to all the four-legged contestants taking part in the dog show. We've also donated a doggy hamper as a special prize, so there’s an extra special treat waiting for one lucky pup.

It has been lovely to have my dad help over the last few months, assisting with bearing on the day of the funeral and bringing people into our care. A simple moment that represents the heart of an independent business and a reminder of the importance of family in all that we do. Many will know David who has run an Antiques business in Malmesbury for over 40 years.

Some advertise a family firm, but we are it, offering a personal service that truly means personal. As a qualified, experienced and local funeral director, I personally guide and support families throughout. Everything is handled with the care and attention only a truly independent Funeral Director can provide.

This week, Louise from North Wiltshire Crematorium had the pleasure of engaging with Brooks Independent Funeral Directors to discuss how we can enhance our support to families for when they are planning a funeral.

At North Wiltshire Crematorium, we recognise that every person is a loved individual, and we are committed to helping families create personalised ceremonies that honour their loved ones’ lives. Whether through specific music selections, personalised tributes, or unique themes, our goal is to guide families in crafting a farewell that resonates deeply with their shared experiences.

We invite families to share their ideas and preferences, allowing us to work together to create a memorable service that serves as a heartfelt tribute. Our compassionate team is here to provide support and professional guidance every step of the way.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by this evening at late night opening. It was fantastic to see so many people at both our Town Hall stall and at our office. All the Memory Tags are being placed on the Memorial Tree in the office window. The last of the mince pies will be donated to the community fridge in the Town Hall. If you weren't able to attend this evening but would like to place a Memory Tag on the Memorial Tree you are welcome to call into the office to do so or email a message to be placed on your behalf.
