We are aware of a large fallen branch in the cemetery this has been reported to Dignity

Please be careful when visiting your loved ones for further branches falling

It saddens us to have to post that we have been contacted by a distraught relative of a baby whose resting place is in our cemetery the grieving mum says ALL the bubble wands and solution which there were many all big ones have been taken from the grave and they’re trying to identify which other items have also taken the bubbles were used for the family to send kisses to heaven.
Please if you know who maybe responsible please ask them to return the items this has broken the grieving families hearts to think someone would steal from a grave let alone a babies grave.

It’s lovely to see the war graves in Maltby cemetery are being respectfully cared for and our MP has taken an interest in how they’re cared for and our cemetery in general.

The Christmas tree has now gone, if you didn’t manage to collect your loved one’s decoration and would like them back please drop us a message and we’ll arrange for the items to be returned to you.

We are taking down the tree Friday 10th January, it was going to be sooner however the weather changed that and we want to give people time to remove their tokens to their loved ones, please don’t worry if you don’t get chance we will remove them and save them for you and arrange dates for collecting them.
Please take care if you’re out and about in this winter weather.

The memory tree has been secured again after the recent winds blew it over and all the lovely baubles and tributes are still there.
There are some more hearts on the tree if people still wish to place their loved one’s name or a message on the memory tree.

We are aware that the memory tree is down in the cemetery thank you everyone for letting us know, we are going up tomorrow to assess the damage and replace the baubles and secure the tree.

The memory tree is now lit and it looks beautiful with all the loving tributes placed on it this evening.
Please continue to add your loved ones names or messages on the tree don’t worry if you don’t have a bauble there are some hearts in a bag with a pen tied to the tree if you need them.
Thank you everyone who came this evening thank you to Rev Beth Langner for blessing the tree and thank you to Julia Jones and Tesco for the refreshments, thank you again to Phull Carpentry & Joinery Ltd for their generous donation of the tree and attending this evening and switching on the lights.

If you can’t make it todays lighting of the memory tree please don’t worry you can place you tribute to your lost loved ones anytime the cemetery is open up to the new year,
there will be a limited amount of hearts and a pen left on the tree to be used by anyone wanting to leave a message.
Please make sure any personal ornament/bauble left on the tree isn’t glas or ceremic please
