A few years ago when I left teaching and set up my clinical sports therapy business I said I wouldn't teach again, and .tutor.tennant however had other plans and I started to work with on their training and assessing team.

That opportunity and step back into the classroom has enabled me to give these two an opportunity they might not have had otherwise.

and have put in a great few days work so far on the trip with . They are making me proud and I know all the tutors back at Active Health will be looking forward to knowing how they are getting on and what they thought of the experience.

There is always time for a little bit of light hearted fun but we may need to work on our attempt at the L 2 M!

It’s the start of our Volunteer recruitment program.

We’ve won a grant to promote the idea of Volunteering within the Rugby club family.

On Sunday Sept 10th. We’re hosting a Family day they’ll be Food, beer, a rounder’s tournament with teams to be made up from our rugby teams and their relations. They’ll be music and children’s activities.

Breaking the radio silence with something exciting!

Busy, busy week going on here at Fit For Adventure, well, to be honest, a busy month.

Today, after I had finished my hours in the clinic, I put together my podium prizes for the NRB Events Birdsall Blast, which is happening on Sunday. This will be the first podium I have sponsored, and I am super excited about it. Anyone who knows me is well aware that bikes are my thing.

New mentorship programme started, still getting to grips with it and if I'm honest slower at processing my needs than I want to be but I know when I work it out in my head things will fly.

I started to do some teaching in Manchester, already had 2 days this month, and I've got 3 more to do. I'm not going to lie whilst I said I would never go back in the classroom again - I had an amazing time and remembered all the things I love about teaching.

It's also the first round of the women's national road series, the CiCle Classic in the East Midlands, where I am back in action supporting Team Boompods with any pre/post race csre they need and added bottle juggling in the feed stations, got my new coat (bright green) and gilet so they won't miss me!

As an instructor it is great to see the progress each and everyone of my clients is making and I love that you remember me a couple of days later 😉

I have added a new package on the booking system where you can pay for 7 sessions and get 8, these sessions just need to be used with 4 months so should be great for everyone. Who doesn't love a freebie?

Remember that if a class doesn't work for you then I offer 1-2-1 or 1-2-2 sessions, these are great fun, those of you who are a bit further afield I can do sessions over the internet. these sessions are just for you and being like this we can really concentrate on your needs whether you are a runner, a cyclist a gym goer or just want to look after you.

Time for another MORE post......

Anyone that knows me and follows me will know how much I love my bikes and a lot of my favourite professional athletes, who inspire me the most, spend their time on 2 wheels.

I see a lot of cyclists in clinic from throughout the spectrum from social riders to enthusiastic amateurs, semi professionals and also professionals. I work with a cycling company and also the domestic women's team . With all that in mind I thought it was about time I set up something that was specific for the cyclists in my life.

These options will help to ensure you are set up on your bike correctly - that back, shoulder or knee pain could be down to your set up position on the bike. How is everyone? These last few days have definitely felt a little bit spring-like and my new home at Swinton Grange is an amazing place to be on these sunny days.

Hopefully everyone has found it a little bit easier to find me, thanks for the signs and for putting them up for me - they look amazing.

I still have s few spaces on classes and appointments available this month so get in touch or book in if you want a sports massage or have a bit of tension that needs easing out.

Race season is upon us, on two feet and two wheels, so if you need a bit of work pre or post event to keep you in top form and producing your best results then get in touch. Regular sessions with me throughout the season will help improve recovery and perform and train at your best.

The body adapts in so many ways during pregnancy. Release of the hormone relaxin leads to looser ligaments and in turn joints, plus major accommodations occur in the spine for weight distribution. Many of you ladies want to carry on leading an active lifestyle whilst pregnant but sometimes it is all just too uncomfortable and you have aches and niggles.
