At Motherly Love Domiciliary Care, we support temporary and last minute care needs, giving family carers peace of mind when life needs your attention.

Whether you’re caring for:

We’re also happy to work alongside family and friends, doubling up support so care feels familiar, joined up and right for the person. We are happy to provide moving and handling training free of charge.

Our care is flexible, person centred and shaped around real life because support shouldn’t stop just because needs change.

At the end of last year, Saint Catherine’s hosted a touching Bauble Memorial Service, where each bauble on our Christmas remembrance tree represented a loved one cared for by our hospice.

This year, we want to continue this beautiful tradition, however we’re a little short on matte finish Christmas baubles that can be decorated and written on.

If you have any spare matte baubles and would like to help be part of creating a meaningful tribute, we’d be so grateful for your support. 💛

💙 Dementia Friends Training 💙

Family carers, professionals or volunteers are welcome to join us next Monday 19th January, for a free Dementia Friends training session led by Deborah Senior from Alzheimer’s Society. This session is all about increasing understanding of dementia and learning how small actions can make a big difference to people affected by the condition in our communities.

⚠️ Amber Cold Weather Alert – Keeping Our Community Safe & Warm ❄️

An amber cold weather alert has been issued for the next few days.

Cold weather can be particularly challenging for older adults and those with health conditions. Our care team is remaining vigilant by:
• Checking that homes are kept warm and safe
• Encouraging suitable clothing and extra layers
• Supporting with hot meals, drinks, and hydration
• Monitoring wellbeing closely and reporting any concerns promptly

We kindly remind families and community members to check in regularly on vulnerable loved ones and neighbours during this period.

At Motherly Love Domiciliary Care, no two days are the same – and that’s exactly how we like it.

From sitting and listening while a service user enjoys reading, to getting creative with painting, colouring and crafts, our carers take the time to truly connect. We also support people to live life their way. Whether that’s wearing a festive Christmas headband and enjoying a daily catch up with friends at the local pub, with our carers supporting, taking them there and safely bringing them home 🍻🎄

Our care goes far beyond tasks. Yes, we provide:
✔️ Personal care
✔️ Medication support
✔️ Nutrition, meal preparation and domestic support

But just as importantly, we support the social, emotional and wellbeing needs of the people we care for. Helping them stay connected to their communities, routines and friendships. This includes getting out and about to historical ruins, cafes, open gardens been a few hits with our current individuals. Pampering and exercise support and visiting local places of interest, creating meaningful moments and memories together.

We also understand the importance of work life balance. Our flexible working hours are designed to support a healthy family and home life, making this a role that fits around you as well as the people you support.

Our pay rates broken down. 💜🧡

▫️ No experience or previous training
Weekdays £12.75 | Weekends £13.25

▫️ Level 2 / Care Certificate qualification.
Weekdays £13.25 | Weekends £13.75

▫️ Level 3 Qualification.
Weekdays £14.15 | Weekends £14.65

Sleepover night rate £14.40 per hour
Waking night rate £20 per hour
We pay travel time meaning your paid for the full shift not just per call.

Through Self Assessment, you can claim 45p per mile for the first 10,000 business miles, and 25p per mile thereafter.
This covers all mileage connected to work.

Our accountant can assist you with completing your Self Assessment, or you may choose to complete it yourself.

You can also claim expenses for washing your uniform.
