🌍 Happy World Menopause Day! Today, Let's Talk Lifestyle Medicine, Kindness, and Connection 🧡
Today, October 18th, is World Menopause Day, and I'm incredibly pleased that the theme this year is Lifestyle Medicine. This focus aligns perfectly with the holistic approach we champion at Juicy Menopause.
Menopause isn't just a physical transition; it touches every part of a woman's life. As a Certified Menopause Coach, I see daily how pivotal lifestyle choices are in managing symptoms and boosting overall well-being.
And today, I've been practicing what I preach, both for myself and for my community. I made sure to check in on my friends—some of whom are currently navigating really tough times with perimenopause. A simple message or a listening ear can truly make all the difference when you're feeling overwhelmed.
My personal Lifestyle Medicine plan for tonight?
A nice relaxing bath with scented candles and aromatherapy oils to de-stress.
My hydration and nutrition have been on point all day, fueling my body right.
Taking a good book to bed and getting a much-needed early night for restorative sleep.
These small, consistent actions, combined with things like strength training (crucial for bone health!) and stress management through connection, are the pillars of feeling better.
This World Menopause Day, let's commit to talking openly, listening with kindness, and supporting every woman on her journey. You are not alone, and you don't have to just "get on with it."
