This World Hepatitis Day we want to remind you how easy it is to get tested and treated for hepatitis.

The hepatitis test is a simple prick of your finger – and that's it!
You’ll get your results in 1 – 3 weeks and whatever they are, we are here for you 💜

Treatment for hepatitis has come a long way and now consists of a tablet a day for 8–12 weeks with minimal side effects.

July is Sarcoma Awareness Month, which is a time to raise awareness of rare cancers like sarcoma.

While not directly linked to substance use, cancer can deeply affect individuals in recovery and their families. We stand with everyone affected💛

LGBT Foundation is one of our key partners in Manchester, and this Pride Month, we want to highlight the great work they do. Through offering targeted support to the LGBT+ community, they are actively working to improve the lives of LGBT individuals in Manchester.

People who identify as LGBTQ+ are more likely to use drugs and alcohol compared to the general population and people who use the service often talk about how their LGBT+ identity is a big part of their experience with substance use. They share that it can be a way to cope with past abuse, face challenges in forming close relationships, and support them throughout their journey as part of the LGBTQ+ community.

LGBT Foundation is one of our key partners in Manchester, and this Pride Month, we want to highlight the great work they do. Through offering targeted support to the LGBT+ community, they are actively working to improve the lives of LGBT individuals in Manchester.

Drug and alcohol use is far more prevalent among LGBTQ+ people than is observed among the wider population. Their Part of the Picture research (LGBT Foundation, 2012) demonstrates the need for tailored drug and alcohol support for LGB people.

Men are less likely to seek help, but no one should suffer in silence. Reach out. Talk. Heal. 💙

If you are feeling lonely and need some support, check out Andy's Man Club. They run free-to-attend peer-to-peer support groups for men aged over 18 that aim to eliminate the stigma surrounding mental health and create a judgment-free, confidential space where men can be open about the storms in their lives.

Also, if you are struggling with substance or alcohol use, Change Grow Live is here to help. Just contact us via email, phone, or pop in for a chat.

Festival season is upon us and starting off strong with . This will be a great chance to see some fantastic artists and support the Manchester Music scene.

Remember to stay safe while having fun! This includes:
🫗Drink water
☀️ Apply sun cream (or wear a raincoat given the unpredictable Manchester weather)
👬 Stay with your friends
🧪 Test your drugs which is especially important given the rise of synthetic opioids!
🕺 Use bottle covers and drink toppers to help protect yourself from spiking
