International Women’s Day - 8th March
Today is a reminder of the strength, resilience and value of women everywhere.
From my own perspective, I’m proud of the woman I’ve become and the life I’ve built.
I’ve brought three incredible children into the world and my love for them shapes everything I do. Motherhood has been my greatest purpose, even through the times I had to find my strength alone as a single mother.
For 16 years I trained and worked in a profession dedicated to caring for women. As a midwife I supported women through some of the most vulnerable, emotional and life changing moments they will ever experience. It was an honour I never took lightly.
My time in the NHS brought many rewarding years, but also challenges that ultimately led me to walk away when I realised the support I needed wasn’t there.
But caring for women didn’t stop there.
Today I continue that work in a different way - supporting women who may feel they have lost themselves, their confidence, or their sense of identity. Women who need someone they can trust to guide them honestly and ethically, always with their best interests at heart.
Caring is part of who I am.
And I will always be proud to stand beside other women, helping them feel strong, confident and comfortable in their own skin.
Happy International Women’s Day 🤍
