Shoulder Rehab π
Initial assessment, we couldnβt achieve more than 120 degrees of shoulder flexion due to pain
After a comprehensive assessment and a few months of consistent rehab, we now have full pain free range of movement within the shoulder β
Key areas to work on to improve shoulder range of movement:
β’ Improve thoracic extension, without this, scapular upward rotation is limited
β’ Improve sternoclavicular and acromioclavicular mobility, again without this scapular upward rotation is limited
β’ Increase dynamic and static shoulder stabiliser strength
β’ You cannot complete late state rehab without integration of the rest of the kinetic chain, this is important for attenuation of ground reaction forces that can hinder upper limb function
