We are seeking a dedicated and organised Care Coordinator to join our growing team and ensure the seamless delivery of care services to our clients.​
Role Overview

As a Care Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in managing and organising care services for our clients. You will be responsible for scheduling care visits, liaising with clients and care staff, and ensuring that all care packages are delivered efficiently and to the highest standard. Your ability to multitask, communicate effectively, and adapt to changing situations will be crucial in this role.​
Key Responsibilities

Coordinate and schedule care visits, ensuring optimal matching of carers to clients based on skills, experience, and client preferences.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of care schedules, client information, and staff availability using our care management system.

Act as the primary point of contact for clients and their families, addressing inquiries and resolving any concerns promptly and professionally.

Collaborate with the recruitment team to ensure adequate staffing levels and participate in the onboarding process of new care staff.

Monitor the quality of care provided, conducting regular reviews and assessments to ensure compliance with care plans and regulatory standards.

Work closely with the Registered Manager to implement policies, procedures, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Participate in the on-call rota to provide support outside of regular working hours as needed.​

Essential Requirements

Previous experience in a care coordination or scheduling role within the health and social care sector.

Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach.

Proficiency in using care management software and Microsoft Office applications.

Knowledge of CQC regulations and standards.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.​

Desirable Attributes

NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification.

Experience in domiciliary care settings.

Familiarity with electronic call monitoring systems.​

Role Purpose:

The CQC Registered Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the care service, ensuring that it meets the standards set by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). The role involves managing staff, budgets, and resources to deliver high-quality care that meets the needs of residents while complying with all relevant legislation and regulations. The CQC Registered Manager plays a key role in safeguarding the welfare of service users and maintaining a positive environment for both staff and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that the care service operates in full compliance with CQC regulations and other relevant legislation, including health and safety, safeguarding, and data protection.
Service Delivery: Oversee the provision of care services to ensure they meet the individual needs of service users, including the development and implementation of care plans.
Staff Management: Lead, manage, and support a team of care professionals, including recruitment, training, and performance management. Foster a positive and inclusive working environment.
Quality Assurance: Regularly assess and monitor the quality of care provided through audits, feedback, and reviews. Implement improvements where necessary to maintain high standards.
Budget Management: Manage the financial aspects of the care service, including budgeting, resource allocation, and cost control, to ensure the service operates within its financial parameters.
Safeguarding: Act as the designated safeguarding lead, ensuring that all safeguarding procedures are followed, and that any concerns are appropriately addressed.
Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with service users, families, staff, and external stakeholders, including healthcare professionals and regulatory bodies.
Record Keeping: Ensure that accurate and up-to-date records are kept for all aspects of the service, including care plans, staff records, and regulatory documentation.
Continuous Improvement: Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the service, encouraging innovation and the adoption of best practices.
Qualifications and Experience:

Essential:
Relevant qualification in health and social care (e.g., NVQ Level 5 in Health and Social Care or equivalent).
Experience in a management role within a care setting.
Comprehensive understanding of CQC regulations and the Health and Social Care Act.
Strong leadership and people management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Desirable:
Previous experience as a CQC Registered Manager.
Experience in managing budgets and financial planning.
Safeguarding lead training or experience.
