Today the lovely and kindly let us takeover their café to hold our first food event for the residents at Dahlia House in Burnage.

In the run up to National Stress Awareness Day on Weds 6th Nov, we placed the spotlight firmly on the big S - identifying stressors in our lives, exploring stress reduction techniques, and discussed how talking about stress with others can benefit our physical and emotional wellbeing. 😌

Being a right pair of nutritionists, naturally we focused on the main food groups proven to help us be more resilient during times of stress.

We put on a tasty spread of delights containing complex carbs, healthy fats and lean proteins to compliment our talk on how balanced eating can support our mind and body during life’s challenging moments.

It all looked pretty appetising, and our participants were more than willing to tuck in, even trying some foods for the very first time. The guacamole in particular was a bonafide hit! 🥑

Check out your local facilities - gyms, leisure centres etc - to see what they might be putting on or offering on the day.

There's also an official app that encourages you to move more to get rewards.

Hi folks!

Now that British summertime is nearly upon us (but tell the weather that today 🌊), we want to reap the benefits of getting outside in the warm sunshine (🤞) to be more physically active. Whether that’s to lose some weight, build more muscle, or simply to boost our mood and overall wellbeing.

That’s where fuelling our movement with a healthy balanced diet can really pay off. But are you sure you’re achieving this? What does that even look like?

If you're looking to destress and/or explore some ways to reduce stress long term, then you may want to have a go at our 4 week challenge.

Each week we'll give you a little info on stress and then suggest a food, physical and wellbeing goal to help your mind & body begin to destress.

Hello! Remember us?

We’ve been rubbish at keeping our socials up-to-date (sorry!) but we’re dropping in to share what we’ve been up to the past few months. Better late than never, no? 😬

Well, here’s the photo evidence! We’ve really enjoyed working with the Heart-Friendly Club at Limelight Old Trafford alongside Voice of BME Trafford and Heart Research UK (and making strange shapes with our hands apparently 😂).

The engagement and motivation shown by participants to support their heart health through dietary and lifestyle changes was really encouraging and fulfilling to witness. As a first time for us delivering presentations to a large group, we couldn’t have asked for a better cohort!

Thanks to the attendees, the project manager .bukhari.73 and all the other facilitators who made this a fantastic group to be part of.

As 2022 comes to a close, BeMa Nutrition want to thank everyone for all the love and support shown to us in the first year of our business.

Our monthly Healthy Living Club workshops held at Minehead Community Cafe in Withington have been the perfect opportunity to test the waters among familiar faces while providing participants with basic knowledge on the importance of balanced eating, portion sizes and physical activity.

We’re excited to announce that from January our workshops will also be held at four other sites across South Manchester. We’re really looking forward to meeting some new faces in new places and discovering how we can best support the health & wellbeing of resident’s there.
