Here are a few suggestions to help you integrate the use of heat and/or cold therapy into your day-to-day activities: TIP 1️⃣keep a hot patch next to your bed — use it first thing in the morning to warm up your muscles if you wake up with an achy or sore back TIP 2️⃣Add a cold patch before bed if you exercised or overuse your back during the day. TIP 3️⃣Use heat treatment before and after sleep if you have chronic back pain
⚠️If you have other medical illnesses, such as multiple sclerosis, impaired breathing, spinal cord injury, diabetes mellitus, or rheumatoid arthritis, it is suggested to avoid thermal therapy. Heat in these conditions can cause severe burns, ulceration of the skin, and/or increased inflammation.
