After the tragic events in 2017 at MEN Arena Heads Up rapidly provided training for volunteers in the CPFA and was able to open center in Tibbet Street, Manchester.
During Covid our focus turned to supporting staff in nursing homes and various settings.
We are pleased to announce that we have now arranged Foundation training of the Six C's CPFA Protocol and would love you to get involved.
We have been also working on creating an Advanced course which we will be announcing in due course
Thank you in Advance
Cognitive Psychological First Aid enables first responders to assist and support victims that have experienced any traumatic event, that could be a road traffic accident, fires, floods, both natural and man-made major disasters.
The protocol has been created by some of the world's foremost experts in trauma. We first introduced it after the Manchester Arena bombing in 2017. We trained a network of first responders and were able to open a pop-up Support Center in Manchester to support the victims or anyone affected by the event.
This training is a foundation level with advanced training to be arranged in due course. It is ideally suited for anyone already working within counseling, social work, education, NHS and emergency services.
A Certificate is awarded along with CPD hours if required.
