it was never fully resolved 👀

Short-term relief isn’t the same as long-term change.

You might feel better for a few days or weeks, but if the underlying cause hasn’t been addressed it’s only a matter of time before it returns.

That could be:
• Movement patterns
• Strength imbalances
• Lifestyle factors
• Load your body isn’t prepared for

Real progress comes from understanding why it started in the first place not just chasing symptoms.

Because quick fixes don’t last… but the right approach does 🤍

Scans can be helpful… but they don’t tell the full story.

I see so many people worried about what their scan says - disc bulges, degeneration, “wear and tear” - but these findings are often present in people with no pain at all.

Pain is influenced by so much more than just what shows up on an image:
• Movement patterns
• Strength
• Lifestyle
• Nervous system sensitivity

You are more than your scan.

And your body is far more adaptable than you’ve probably been led to believe 🤍

I see this all the time — people stretching the same area over and over, but the tightness keeps coming back.

That’s usually because the “tight” feeling is your body compensating, not actually needing more flexibility.

Sometimes what your body really needs is:
• Strength
• Stability
• Better movement patterns

Not more stretching.

If it’s not changing… it’s probably not the right approach ✨

Not guesswork.

Not everything is an osteopath problem… and that’s a good thing.

Part of my job isn’t just assessing and treating, it’s recognising when something sits outside my scope of practice.

If your symptoms need further investigation or a different specialist, I’ll always refer you to the right place.

Because good healthcare isn’t about ego.

It’s about making sure you get the help you actually need 🤍

Rest absolutely has its place.
But if your pain keeps coming back, flaring up, or never fully settling then that’s a sign something deeper needs addressing.

Pain that lingers is usually about:
• Compensation
• Overload
• Poor movement patterns
• Stress on the system

Avoiding it isn’t the same as resolving it 🤍
You don’t need to “push through.”
But you also don’t need to keep waiting.

RIP to my hamstring 🫣

Even practitioners aren’t immune to injury and here’s evidence bodies respond to load, not job titles.

Injuries usually happen when load exceeds capacity… and yes, I absolutely should know better 👀

You’re not “just getting older.”
You’re adapting.

🟪Adapting to long hours sitting.
⬜️Adapting to stress.
🟪Adapting to poor posture.
⬜️Adapting to doing everything for everyone else before yourself 👀

Your body is clever, it compensates quietly for a while but eventually those compensations turn into stiffness, tension and pain.

That’s not ageing.
That’s overload.

The good news?
If it’s an adaptation, it can be addressed 🤍

I knew I wanted to be an osteopath when I was twelve 🤍

It hasn’t been an easy journey.
There have been tears, long days, self-doubt, studying late into the night, and moments where it all felt overwhelming.

But wow… it is so worth it.

When a patient tells me they’ve achieved their goal.
When someone says they’re finally out of pain.
When they can move comfortably again.

That’s why I do this.

Helping people feel better in their own bodies is a privilege I’ll never take for granted ✨

When pain starts affecting sleep, it impacts your mood, energy and focus; basically EVERYTHING!

So hearing that a patient was able to sleep through the night after treatment makes me so happy 🙌🏽

Helping people move better is amazing.
Helping them rest better? Even better ✨
