๐This month we are encouraging a month of movement with the lead up to the upcoming 'I can move' Children's Cancer North event.

month an international campaign to raise awareness and support for childrenโs and young peopleโs cancers.

๐Day 4 is a 'Sun Salutation challenge'
Flow through three rounds of a sun salutation before you even leave your bedroom. You'll benefit from the stretch and some peace of mind.
๐Ease your way in
Remember to stretch before and after you exercise and gradually build up how long you can complete over the month. Always hydrate and rest when need it, stop straight away if feel pain.
โ๏ธ How to do Sun Salutation
โ๏ธ Start with big toes touching and arms at your sides, palms facing forward. Inhale - sweep your arms out to the sides and overhead, bring palms together and look up at your hands.
โ๏ธ Exhale and hinge at the hips - sweep your arms wide, down to standing forward fold, slightly bend your knees and relax your hands toward the floor. Keep core engaged. Tuck chin to look behind.
โ๏ธ Exhale and lower your torso back to standing forward fold by hinging at the hips and reaching your hands to the floor. Use your core to pull torso toward thighs. This fold should feel deeper than the first one.
โ๏ธ Inhale to pull your chest forward and lift your torso to Half lift, forming an L-shape with your body. Lightly press hands to your shins, making back parallel to floor. Tuck chin toward throat, and look straight down.
โ๏ธ Lower your hips as if sitting down onto a chair, and use your core to lift your chest away from your thighs. Sweep arms out wide, palms facing the ceiling.
โ๏ธ Inhale deeply as you press down through your heels, extend hands as high as possible to stand as tall as you can, and pressing palms firmly together overhead. To end, exhale as you bring your hands to your heart centre.
