When the lights go down, the pond transforms ✨

Deep red underwater lighting reveals the movement below the surface as koi glide effortlessly through the ecosystem. Subtle white light from above balances the scene, while the spheres and urns add structure and sound without overpowering the natural flow of the pond.

This is what an ecosystem pond should feel like at night — calm, immersive, and alive.

Would you go bold with colour, or keep things soft and natural after dark?

There’s something timeless about the sound of running water 💦
This pondless waterfall creates all the movement, sound, and atmosphere of a traditional waterfall — without an open pond.

Perfect for families, smaller gardens, or anyone wanting a low-maintenance water feature, pondless waterfalls recirculate the water underground, keeping everything neat, safe, and easy to look after.

Built using proven Aquascape systems, this feature runs efficiently year-round and blends naturally into the landscape.

📢 Winter Pond Care Tips — Keep Your Pond Healthy in This Cold Weather! ❄️🐟💧

Winter’s here and with temperatures dropping, your pond will need a little extra care — especially if you have fish or wildlife relying on it. Here’s what to do now:

🧊 Keep a Hole in the Ice
When ponds freeze over, oxygen can’t get in and harmful gases can build up underneath. Use a de-icer, aerator or small pump to keep a patch of water open for gas exchange — don’t smash the ice as the shock waves can seriously harm fish.

💨 Aeration is Key
Moving water helps oxygenate your pond — whether that’s from a bubbler, air pump or running waterfall (if it’s safe to run). More aeration = healthier water in cold months.

🍂 Clear Leaves & Debris
Fallen leaves and dead plant matter will rot and can pollute the water. Skim the surface or use a pond net before everything sinks in.

🐠 Fish Feeding
Fish metabolism slows right down in cold water.
✔️ Above ~10°C — feed very sparingly
✔️ Below ~8–10°C — stop feeding altogether (extra food just rots and harms water quality).

🧪 Light & Water Quality
Brush off snow so sunlight can reach the pond — light helps plants photosynthesise and release oxygen. If you can safely test water occasionally, that’s a bonus too.

🌿 Plant Care
Trim back dead foliage and remove dying plants — less debris means healthier water and less cleanup in spring.

🌙✨ There’s something special about how a pond transforms at night…
Here, the Aquascape Spillway Bowl, Urn, and Sphere flow together under deep red color-changing lights, with the Japanese Torii gate glowing in the background. The reflections in the water and the uplighting through the greenery create a magical atmosphere you can’t get during the day. 🔴🌿💧

pond features a large, flowing waterfall, plenty of established aquatic plants, and a healthy mix of small fish, all working together to create clear water and a balanced ecosystem. This video scans gently from the waterfall down towards the skimmer, showing how everything has grown in and softened over time.

A great example of how an ecosystem pond only gets better with age, becoming a real focal point and a place to relax and unwind.
