Services for the over 50s in Wythenshawe will be highlighted at the annual Ageing Well event, taking place at Wythenshawe Forum on 30 September from 10.30am to 2.30pm.

Along with information and advice stalls on the concourse, Age Friendly Wythenshawe has organised a programme of activities for those wanting a diversion.

Leisure and interest stalls will also be located in the library and event visitors can venture up to the creative space on the first floor of the library where they can enjoy some mindfulness, or a noisier option of karaoke.

Trafford Woodcraft Club will be selling a range of handmade wooden household items and gifts – ideal for those thinking about Christmas!

This free event promises a thorough round-up of local services covering finances, legal advice, health, and wellbeing. A chilled atmosphere is expected with music and wellbeing therapies available on the day.

And a highlight is the food demonstration area where visitors can expect free tasters of nutritious food.

All activities will be listed on the event programme available from the Age Friendly Wythenshawe stall, where visitors can also find out more about the Age Friendly Wythenshawe local app.

About us

Hi there! We are Manchester Local Care Organisation's Brooklands and Northenden Integrated Neighbourhood Team.

On a day to day basis, we provide your NHS community health and adult social care services in the neighbourhood - that's things like district nursing, social work and much more. Our teams now work together in the neighbourhood so these services are based together and work as one team.

We also work with local people, community and voluntary groups and other partners to improve health and wellbeing for everyone where we live. That’s where you can get involved by helping us focus on what’s important to you and your family and letting us know what works well in Brooklands and Northenden and what you think we can work together to make better.

We have regular events where you can come and learn more and get involved. Do please message us if you can think we can help or you want to find out more.
