Pinch myself everyday that im living my career dream working with the best Teams, Athletes & Practitioners in the game. Their trust, support & guidance has been unmatched and im so greatful for the opportunities they provide. We're not there yet but im keeping pushing to reach my ultimate goal of working an Olympic Games. Imposter syndrome is real at times but it can be used as a positive to keep progressing if you allow it to be. I saw someone do a trend on talking to their younger self.... Little Leah would be incredibly proud 🤍✨️

I couldn't do this without the support from my boys, friends & family. Blessed all round 🙏

What's coming up for October.......

I will be away 8th-15th October for a family holiday with my best friend Zara Harrison-Tattersall and her family too! My phone will be off whilst I enjoy some down time and be completely present 🌴

The day after I come home I am straight back out on the road 16th-24th with Skeleton GB for some pre season training in Norway. I'm also tagging on a little weekend catching up with my fave Norwegian in the world ❄️ My phone will be on for the duration of this trip if anyone needs anything.

All clinical appointments are available to book online for anytime around these dates!

Soft Tissue Therapy - Yes v No ✅️ ❌️

1. Erythema ✅️ v Tissue Trauma ❌️
Slight redness during/after treatment is a perfectly normal response and is a sign of treatment working. However the bottom image shows Tissue trauma, you should NEVER leave your treatment like this. This has been claimed to be IASTM but it is not. A practitioner doing this will not be covered by insurance & are following treatment guidelines.

2. Discomfort ✅️ v Pain ❌️
As most of my athletes/patients are aware discomfort or low level pain is expected during treatment but should never exceed a 6/10. More pain does not mean better results, it can actually have negative effects.

3. Qualified ✅️ v Non Qualified ❌️
Always check with your Therapist what their qualifications are and where they did their training. Most Therapists will welcome this and be happy to share their educational background. Always check for Full insurance & being a member of a regulated Association will give you peace of mind and should always be a requirement when a clinic is hiring a therapist.

4. Freedom ✅️ v Forced ❌️
Every therapist should be providing a treatment plan that will get you optimal results within the least amount of treatment time possible. Nobody should be forced into buying a block of treatments with a huge financial outlay before you've even started your treatment plan. I've seen this multiple times and it's a shame when wealth takes over health. Every single treatment prescribed should be back up by clinical reasoning not finances.

🌴 VACAY MODE ACTIVATED!

I'll be away until Monday on a well deserved break with the family. In the mean time here are some exciting updates for the next few months:

👩‍🎨 My little treatment room at MLH Physio will be having a makeover! I'm so excited to have a beautiful new space to work out of!

🚴‍♀️ 18th - 22nd June ill be away with the Olympic Womens Sprint Team on a camp/comp in Cottbus, Germany 🇩🇪

🤺 2nd - 18th July ill be in Rome with PentathlonGB for a summer training camp 🇮🇹

🚴‍♀️ 10th - 21st July ill be back with GBCT for U23 Track Euros in Portugal 🇵🇹

🚵‍♂️ 23rd - 30th August ill be on the road in France for the Tour L'Avenir stage race 🇫🇷

Thank you once again to Matt at MLH, GBCT & PentathlonGB for keeping me so busy. Now, however it's time to relax & recharge 🍹
