As we enter into the blessed month of Ramadan, I pray for acceptance of all our worship, prayers and charity during this blessed month. Having just received confirmation of flights and security clearance, I will be flying out to Yemen tomorrow (although still haven't packed!)

Most of you are aware of the humanitarian situation in Yemen over the past few years. Sadly, the US and UK are now bombing Yemen following the Yemeni's support for Gaza.

However, we will not let the current bombing deter us from helping the people of Yemen! I will be personally distributing your Sadaqa/Zakat and as always, updating you with exactly where and how your money is being spent.

As usual, I will be covering the cost of my own travel and expenses so that every penny you give goes to those that need it! 🀲🏽

For those asking, I am still collecting for Syria and Gaza so you can also donate to those causes via the link below.

Please keep me and the team in your prayers and most of all please continue to support the work! 🀲🏽

Stroke is the primary cause of speech loss, with 4 out of 10 stroke survivors experiencing difficulty speaking after a stroke. This condition is called aphasia and can affect speech, reading, writing, and even numeracy. This implies that tasks such as managing finances and telling time can be challenging.

It's important to understand that aphasia affects individuals differently, but it does not impact intelligence. People with aphasia still think the same way; they just have trouble communicating their thoughts effectively.

If you or someone you know has been affected by stroke and is experiencing aphasia, help is available. Please visit https://buff.ly/3KP0e7X for more information on resources and support available to those affected by this condition. Let's raise awareness about aphasia and provide support to those who are dealing with it! πŸ’ͺ

Are you suffering from hayfever? It's that time of the year when trees, grass, and weeds release pollen, triggering allergic reactions. This year, we're experiencing a "Pollen bomb," where a group of trees releases millions of pollen particles simultaneously. Climate change and air pollution have also caused hayfever season to start earlier and last longer.

To combat hayfever, here are some musts:
1. Check the pollen counts and be prepared.
2. Wear sunglasses and apply balm under your nostrils.
3. Keep windows closed, especially at bedtime.
4. Avoid drying clothes outside.
5. Take an antihistamine; a wide range is available to suit your symptoms.
6. Use eye drops and steroid nasal sprays to manage topical symptoms.

Additionally, taking Vitamin D is crucial in maintaining a healthy immune system and preventing your body from overreacting to allergens. Speak to your pharmacist about the right dosage for you.

Stay healthy this hayfever season! 🌸🀧
