I became a Christian this year, I went on an alpha course in February and I have not looked back since. I became intrigued with Christianity after reading the Law of Attraction book “The Secret”. I can’t articulate why but something made me do it.

Anyway, if you’re not familiar with The Secret, it’s about manifestation and disregarding bad, negative thoughts.

Today, reading UCB Word for Today, it’s saying just that!!! So similar yet so different to the Law of Atteaction teachings!

Too often, people who need cheers the most get them the least. Every once in a while we need a shoulder to cry on. Arms to be wrapped around us. A voice telling us not to give up.

What if the person driving slow in front of you isn’t quite with it because they have lost someone they love? Or they don’t feel well? Or they’re just enjoying life? It is their decision to drive at the speed they are travelling at.
What if the person walking slow in front of you has just come out for the first time after major surgery? Or don’t get out much?
Imagine how embarrassing it would be if you road raged or shouted at someone for being slow and it was your Boss’s parents/grandparents. Or their child who has just learnt to drive?

Come on, life is good ✌🏼

I’ve created this page for me to use as a kind of blog. I am on a new journey and need a “safe place” outlet. If you don’t believe in my views or opinions please feel free to scroll on by.

I was born into the Roman Catholic faith. Raised in Salford, Manchester, UK. I lost my faith when I was a young teen and haven’t really thought about it until the last 12 months. Aged 37. I became curious after reading “The Secret” and “Magic” by Rhonda Byrne. In my opinion, a lot of these self help kind of books and religions are all pointing towards a belief in something. Everyone believes in something: the Big Bang theory, a / their God, Martin Luther King, King Henry the eighth, ghosts, superstitions….which have very very rarely been proven to be real to the person believing. But it brings them comfort. Or understanding which then also brings them comfort.

So, 12 months on, aged 38 - whoop, quick Maths 😝 I’ve become, interested in, intrigued with, a follower of Christianity. And on 16th July 2023 I will be baptised so I can start a fresh on my journey with my faith. My faith that brings me comfort, peace, understanding and finally a piece of the void I’ve been feeling most of my adult life.

This page isn’t going to be all about my faith, I have a lot of opinions, that I don’t think are right or wrong but if you’re feeling bad or negative about something I hope I can shed a different light on it.
