People tend to spend the same amount of time training back or legs as they do training their chest or shoulders then wonder why they don't respond the same.

Back and legs are huge muscle groups in comparison to chest, shoulders or arms so surely it makes sense to spend more time training them?

Personally I split back into two sessions, back width and back thickness and I do something similar with legs.

If you have particular muscle groups that are lagging then usually there is a simple explanation behind it

Don't beat yourself up after comparing yourself to people on social media. This is a competition to make you a better you. Comparing yourself to others on Instagram is the worst thing you can do.

What a transformation this is for Peter John Lowe!

He started dropping weight on his own but reached a sticking point so started with me in January. Since then he's dropped down to 16st 3lb and is still sticking to it through all this and has even made his own bench at home out of railway sleepers so he can keep training 💪 when Pete started dieting he was 21-22st so he's lost a total of approx 6st!

Well done mate. Time to start reverse dieting him out now to allow more calories so we can carry on with the progress 🙌

When people say you're obsessed with the gym...I never knew training 5-8 hours a week was obsessive behaviour 😕 I used to play that amount of football over a weekend when I was a kid but then it wasn't classed as obsessive it was classed as fun, yet when people watch 10-15 hours of TV a week it's classed as normal behaviour 🤔

Different angles give off a completely different look... stop beating yourself up and stop comparing yourself to Instagram photos when they have filters, photoshop and can choose the angle of the picture. Go and meet them in real life and see how you feel then ✌

Hopefully this will put some people's minds at ease.

These pictures were taken within a MINUTE of each other but paint a completely different picture.

I keep seeing these 'progress' pics when in reality they show no progress just pictures at different angles and lighting.

People tend to post these 'progress' pictures to show the dramatic transformation of themself or their clients 🙄 it's all just smoke and mirrors.

Don't be fooled by stuff like this. Just concentrate on your own progress and it will come 👌

The veganism debate is back on social media with The Game Changers being aired on Netflix so here are my thoughts:

A well planned out vegan diet is superior than a poorly planned omnivorous diet also a well planned out omnivorous diet is superior to a poorly planned vegan diet. See where I am going with this?

Many people when they switch to vegan find that they feel much better. The main reason behind this is because they are suddenly giving their body the nutrients it has craved by eating more fruit and vegetables and are consciously looking at what they are eating not because they have suddenly cut out eating meat. The funny thing is we can eat all of these things together to achieve a well balanced diet we don't have to cut out food groups completely. What I will say is that a well balanced diet is so much easier to achieve with animal products being consumed, that we know is fact.

If people don't want to eat meat/fish etc then that is their own choice but when people are using these sort of films as factual rather than for entertainment purposes then it becomes quite worrying.

Everyone of the doctors in this video has a vegan book out, Arnie is just releasing a vegan supplement range etc they all have things to gain to release a pro vegan film.

Forgot to post this one to my business page so here it is...

Stephen Grimes came to me to get in shape for his holidays. The pictures don't do this lad justice as he is in stage condition and could happily compete tomorrow, hopefully he will do one day if I can persuade him to haha.

A partial hamstring tear half way through didn't help but we adjusted the plan and carried on 👊

Ste is a fellow PT and has followed everything I've said to the absolute T which makes my life so much easier 😂 He is still on 3000 calories a day in this condition!

How many people started their diet again today...a Monday

What if I was to tell you that you can still treat yourself and still lose weight 🤔

Set your daily/weekly calorie goal then if you go over some days you make them up the others.

If you think of it like your bank account. If you live like a weekend millionaire and blow the majority of your wages Friday-Sunday then you have to literally spend nothing Monday-Thursday.

If you think of your diet like your bank balance it might make calorie counting abit easier to get your head around...aslong as you don't start getting loans out left right and centre 😂
