Direct Cremations
I have noticed that since I last posted about direct cremations in March the conversation around them has increased. I think this is possibly to do with the relentless marketing campaign by big companies on daytime television. I understand why people would want to opt for a direct cremation, particularly with the financial climate we face.
Independent funeral directors offer the facility to do a direct cremation, for a similar cost at what is advertised on television. We do not hide our charges, and you will not receive your loved one’s ashes by a postal service. You will also have a dedicated team to speak to, and know where your loved one is at all times.
We can also work with you to make sure that all the costs for the cremation are kept within your budget.
For those who would like to organise a simple service we do offer an alternative to a pure cremation. We have an onsite Chapel here which your family are welcome to use for a small service. Together with the option to spend time with you in our chapel of rest, should they wish.
