Saturday thoughts... ✨ To feel deeply and intensely is what connects you to your higher self, your intuition, your etheric body, your emotional intelligence. Your sensitivity is needed in this world and people will be drawn to you for it. Some days you might be more sensitive than others. That is ok. You are enough. You have the right to feel all of those feelings and more. Feel them. Embrace your weaknesses, make them your strength. There’s sensitivity in divinity.. 🖤

The greatest love story I ever came to know, that of Krishna and Radha.. It is symbolic of the divine union between the Jivatma and Paramatma – (the individual self and the universal self.) The essence of the RadhaKrishna love story is that true love goes beyond the physical realm. Krishna and Radha were never man and wife, they were never bound in holy matrimony because they are two different manifestations of the same supreme divine principle. This type of love is beautiful, it is so profound that it requires no sense of duty and flows absolutely spontaneously breaking all things that stand in its way. Their divine love is part of our makeup, forever guiding and inspiring the journeys of humans towards realising their inner divinity.. ✨

In the nondualist belief system, there is no separation between the material world and the spiritual realm. Although as humans we perceive duality all around us - good and bad, male and female, hot and cold, heaven and hell, these are all illusions created by the mind when in fact, all opposites are contained in the same universal consciousness. For Tantrikas, it means that everything you do and all that you sense, ranging from pain to pleasure and anything in between, is really a manifestation of the Divine and can be a means to bring you closer to your own divinity ✨ Rod Stryker says “In Ta**ra, the world is not something to escape from or overcome, but rather, even the mundane or seemingly negative events in day-to-day life are actually beautiful and auspicious" Rather than trying to leave the body to reach samadhi or liberation from the world, Ta**ra teaches us that these things are already within us 🙏🏼❤️

I feel like recently my energetic flow has felt rigid. I have felt an overwhelming push to explore, travel, be with new people, places and energy. It’s felt suffocating at times but I never ignore that voice that says leave, get away from your norm and feel stimulated by new places and things. I feel a sense of gratitude that I am able to explore on a regular basis, life for me is about creativity, bonding, planting my feet in the ocean, feeling inspired by new perspective and growing from a new point of view.. Sydney you never fail to charge me up... feeling f**king grateful right now❤️🙏🏼

Yoga is not just good for stretching – it is saving police officers and firefighters from depression and anxiety in cities across America.

I’ve started reading a new book and in the first few paragraphs I was struck by the quote “I have learned and unlearned how to live hundreds of times”... it resonated with every cell in my body. In recent months especially I have come to learn more in-depth about my own personal learning and unlearning and the journey definitely isn’t rainbows and butterflies, it’s up and down, left and right, confusion, sadness, excitement, laughter, anxiety, depression, happiness, love.... there have been many times I’ve thought I was at my last step with certain lessons but with change and growth comes a never ending hike and continuous waves of feelings and emotions. I’ve had beliefs that I no longer believe in and I’ve found happiness in things that I would never entertain now. I’ve changed my mind more times than I can remember which has been one of my most valuable lessons, learning to accept that things will change, relationships will end, new ones will form, some people will like you, others won’t, life will feel good, life will feel s**t, life will feel good again, you’ll grow, you’ll fall, learning and unlearning, like a continuous cycle that never ends.. the cycle of life.. ✨🙏🏼

‘Yoga is not about being flexible. Yoga is about showing up on your mat daily with no expectations of how it should go. It’s about NOT believing the labels like “too injured” or “too old” and finding a new way to be the best version of yourself. Yoga is a lifestyle not an exercise programme, although yoga has no judgement if you want to use the poses to exercise. Yoga is about discovering that those crazy thoughts in your head about why you “can’t” or “shouldn’t” are not true. It is about slowing down and seeking something greater than yourself. Yoga is more than what you wear or if you can handstand. Yoga is the ultimate practice of love..’ - Kerri Verma

Absolutely love these words - I had to share 💕 📸(Pinterest)

I was having a conversation with a friend last night, she told me she was anxious about her future, not knowing where her path was leading and how she felt everyone around her seemed to have their life in order. I explained to her that comparing your life to glorified, unrealistic social media accounts is the devil (been there done that... pssst half of it isn’t real 🤫), you have to dissolve all expectations of yourself and your future and begin to trust that everything will fall into place just like it always does. If you’re reading this and you’re resonating with what I’m saying then please stop comparing your life to others, especially on social media - As Mary Schmich said “sometimes you’re ahead, sometimes you’re behind, the race is long and in the end it’s only with yourself” ....I know it’s hard but I can’t express this enough. We are all humans on this journey together and half the time we haven’t got a clue what’s going on 😂 keep being a walking contradiction, growing, changing and being your true authentic self 💋

The Hindu gods and goddesses are all archetypes, a personification of qualities deeply embedded in each of us. This doesn’t just go for the Hindu religion but for any type of gods and goddesses found in mythology.
The archetypes are the underlying forces in human life which all of us tap into in our most primal human moments. They are archetypes of higher, transpersonal forces, forces that may not be accessible to us, but which are embedded within our subconscious all the same. Below is the Great Ganesha - symbolising heroic power, strength, leadership, knowledge and wisdom 🐘

You’ve asked and I promise I listened.... it’s only taken nearly a year 🙈 but I’m in the process of building plans and memberships that will give you access to online beginner and intermediate yoga classes, meditations, discussion forums, psychology, philosophy, blog posts and much more, some plans will be free and others will come with a monthly cost... it’s a work in progress (seriously time consuming) but it’s underway.. 😆 you can join as a member on my website now - www.yogawithjessica.co.nz/members - this will also give you access to my monthly newsletter and once things launch you will be the first to know - there I’ve said it, this WILL happen 😂❤️✨🙏🏼
