Must be doing something right when a patient sketches you (in a v non-creepy way!!!🤣🤣)

Patient is building her portfolio / practicing her pencil sketch portraits, took a pic of me last week and then came up with this a few hours later. Love the fact she eased back on the crows feet and the WTF lines too…🤣

Highlights of my day…

• morning cappuccino courtesy of my dad (maker!) and my mum (deliverer!)

• the other use for kettle bells…propping the door open to let in some fresh air

• outdoor rehab

• Teddy the dog…nope, not branched out into canine physio…but this little lady sits as good as gold during her owners treatment / rehab (please note, this is not a cue for all patients to arrive with pets…🤣)

Busy week…but still been getting those runs in for RED (Run Every Day) February, in aid of Altrincham versus Cancer 2025 and it’s fundraising efforts for The Christie.

I am running with one young man in mind - John, the 14 year old son of my friend and colleague Lily. John is currently undergoing craniospinal proton beam therapy at The Christie.

Currently at just over 134km run this month, with 5 runs to go! John has 10 more treatment sessions ahead of him (he’s had 20), so end in sight for both of us!

Have had 24 hrs in St Albans to remember and celebrate the life of an exception human being (who would have approved of my efforts, but not my methods…!). So it was a crack of dawn run yesterday before setting off, and a running tour of St Albans today!
