At YSS, we do so much more than funeral cars, long-distance collections and on-call cover. We also provide professional Pall Bearers, whether that’s for a single carry at the crematorium, or from church services through to the committal.

Last week we got this hard-working horse cleaned, watered and fed before its journey down to Bristol, where it assisted Daniel J Mellor Independent Funeral Director in bringing a deceased into care.

It was a truly glorious day for it and as always, we were proud to support our colleagues in providing care with dignity and respect.

Last week, we headed to Pilgrim Hospital to bring a gentleman into our care on behalf of Eternal Family Funerals

We’re proud to offer this support to other funeral directors, ensuring families receive the same dignity, respect, and care no matter who they choose to guide them through their loss.

Last week, we were in sunny Congleton at St Stephen’s Church, supporting Larvin and Clegg Funeral Care - Congleton & Crewe with the oldest members of our fleet.

It was a beautiful, warm day the kind that reminds us summer still has its hold and the perfect backdrop for honouring such an occasion.

Earlier this week, we had a very early start at 5:30 a.m. to attend a service at Seasons Funeral Services in Bolton.

The occasion was a Hindu funeral ceremony, which began before sunrise and was rich with tradition, symbolism and cultural significance. The early hour reflected the importance placed on certain timings within Hindu rites and it was a moving experience to witness the rituals and the deep sense of community that surrounded the family during this solemn moment.

Funeral Directors – Let’s Catch Up and Connect

We’re putting together a networking evening just for funeral directors – happening on either the 13th or 14th of August, from 6pm–8pm (venue still being finalised – somewhere neutral and easy to get to).

We’d love this to become a regular monthly meet-up and we’re kicking things off with good food and even better conversation – just like many of you asked for.

The evening will be structured but relaxed:
👉 A chance for everyone to say a bit about themselves and their business
👉 Then an open chat – bring your worries, ideas, challenges – and let’s see how we can support each other

This first event is funeral directors only and the goal is simple: to build a friendly, supportive space for sharing and connection in a profession that can often feel pretty isolating.

We had a nice trip out to Macclesfield Crematorium to support Larvin and Clegg Funeral Care - Congleton & Crewe we even took the lovely weather too! It was a beautiful day to honor and remember loved ones. Let's come together to celebrate life and support each other during this time.

Last week, we were at Agecroft Crematorium supporting our sister company Yolo Funeral Services . It was a meaningful day as we honored the lives of those we've lost, providing comfort and support to families during their time of need.

On this absolutely glorious day, we were supporting Larvin and Clegg Funeral Care - Congleton & Crewe and we were at The Birches Crematorium. It’s a beautiful setting that allows us to honor the memories of loved ones with dignity and care. We do like a trip out, especially when it involves providing support and comfort to families during their difficult times. Together, we ensure that every farewell is as meaningful as it can be.

🚘 Out supporting our colleagues
Last week we we're pleased to be assisting Alan J Bradley & Sons LTD with an extra limousine, along with providing a hearse and two vehicles for today’s service.

It was a glorious day to be out on the road and we’re always proud to work alongside others in the profession to ensure everything runs smoothly for the families we serve. 🌿
