A BIG ANNOUNCEMENT ‼️‼️‼️
We are no longer a CIC 😢 Please read further to see where we distributed our remaining funds! We chose organisations that supported our aims:
• Eradicating period poverty
• Providing education about reusable menstrual products
• Other organisations that support women
We chose a mix of local, national and international organisations that we have worked with or align with our vision 🩷 Thank you so much for your understanding and support over the past few years. Love, TPPP team 🩷

𝐃𝐈𝐃 𝐘𝐎𝐔 𝐊𝐍𝐎𝐖:
over a lifetime, a person will spend £𝟴𝟬𝟬𝟬 on menstrual products in their lifetime 😱 while a reusable product may seem more expensive initially, in the long run it definitely works out cheaper 🤑

𝗔 𝗠𝗘𝗦𝗦𝗔𝗚𝗘 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗧𝗣𝗣𝗣 𝗙𝗢𝗟𝗟𝗢𝗪𝗘𝗥𝗦:

We do not tolerate hate speech on this page! The values of TPPP have always been rooted in inclusivity, tolerance, compassion and kindness. The actions we have seen in the UK over the past week have been horrific and absolutely not in line with your values. Remember that this page is always a safe space for women of colour, immigrant women and ANYONE who connects with us!

Please stay safe, be kind to yourselves and your neighbours and be vigilant!

at TPPP, we are BIG fans of sustainable, reusable and environmentally friendly menstruation products! one of those is the menstrual cup 🩸 which is a great alternative to disposable tampons and pads. it can stay inserted for up to 12 hours and is easily washed out in the sink before reinserted. have a go! 🌸

today’s post is a pretty important one! here at The Period Poverty Project, we are SUPER passionate about sustainability. sustainable period products were never widely talked about when we were starting our periods, and we never really knew the massive environmental impact that one-use, plastic products such as tampons have on the environment 🌎 as Muslims, we know that the earth is provided to us by Allah to nourish us; in turn, we should nourish and take care of it. here are some helpful tips on how to do that 🩷‼️

At The Period Poverty Project, our aim has always been to address injustice and be an amplifier for voices less heard. Of course, our main focus for this was regarding period poverty and women’s health, both locally in the UK and on a wider scale. Inherently, this issue is tied in with the injustice we are seeing unfold in Gaza. We would be remiss to not address the very real and ongoing genocide, firstly due to period poverty in the area but largely because this is a humanitarian issue. You only need to be human to know what is going on is unlike anything we have seen in our lifetime and we absolutely should use our privilege as a platform with an audience to speak out against injustice and be the voice for those oppressed. Please note that we are not experts on the situation (not that you need to be in order to speak up) so some pages that are worth looking at are:

This break was much-needed but we’re ready to continue on our goal on destigmatising periods in the wider community and raise awareness on period poverty 🩸 there are big changes that are coming our way so please keep an eye out! 🩷
