I’m going to print these off and hand them in at my gym today and tell them all how awesome you are. This morning I was able to do some serious core exercises that there’s no way I could’ve managed it weeks ago. This is the result of all your expertise! Thank you so much again Xx”

In pursuit of flatter abs after having kids, attending classes with inappropriate exercises (for post natal women, in particular) actually made this clients Diastasis worse! 😱

Double leg lifts, loaded twists/ side bends… everything counter productive to a core working in synergy. 🫣🫠😬🫤

TIPS FOR C SECTION RECOVERY IN THE FIRST 12 WEEKS ✨

🟪 Brace Abs when coughing, sneezing, turning over in bed or lifting other children (which isn’t always avoidable in reality).

🟪Avoid constipation by drinking 2-3 litres of water per day (which will also help with milk supply) and eating at least one portion of green fibrous veg per day.

🟪 Protect the incision by rollin on on to your side when getting up from lying down, eg getting out of bed

🟪 Gentle stretching through the waist and releasing the back - eg child’s pose

🟪Get moving !
Short walks to get circulation going.
Being careful not to over do it- if blood loss resumes or gets heavier, this is often a sign that it’s a little too much, too soon.

🟪 As soon as the skin has healed and you can tolerate touch, gently massage the area with a natural oil.

SUNDAY FUNDAY!

Anyone’s else find that they get in to a really good routine and start seeing progress….

Right before kids break up…
or Easter…
or Christmas…
or your best mates 40th/Wedding/Baby shower…
[ insert alternative]

Then it throws a right spanner in the works 🔧

I haven’t trained properly in weeks, as have been living that school holiday life 💫

(The next post to illustrate…stay tuned 👀)

You see, unless I have an upcoming show, it’s not top priority for me to stick to a training routine.

Yeah it’d be ideal to nail both… and I absolutely can do that, when it’s time to prep. 100%.

But if I don’t have a pressing deadline… why put that pressure on 🤷🏻‍♀️

Kids are only little once.

(…. And you REALLY realise that,
once they hit 6ft!)

In the grand scheme of things, it’s a few weeks out of the year.

I stick to a training plan during term time.

It is what it is.
Not the end of the world.

Training optimally isn’t the be all and end all or the crux of a personality.

…It’s an income 😆😬🫠IYKYK
