Diwali Delights🎉✨

Activity coordinator Manny brought in some beautiful Asian wear dresses,🥻 bangles, and bindis galore! 💃💫 She asked the residents if they’d like to dress🥻 up for our Diwali party,🥻🎉🥳 and of course residents Josie, Anne, and Olive said a big “ooh yes!” they are fancy.💖🥻

Manny assisted them and Josie couldn’t stop smiling,😊 saying she loves❤️ her outfit because it’s green her favourite colour! 💚

We went all out with a delicious Indian feast poppadoms, curries,🍛 rice, naan breads, chutneys... the whole works 🍛🥰

Residents Doreen and Derek tucked🍴🍽 in and said the curry and rice🍛 was lovely! 😋❤️

We had bhangra beats🎼🎵 playing in the background and lots of chatter💬 about Diwali,🎆✨️ the festival of lights 🪔✨🎆everyone had a glow-tastic time! 🌟

Activity coordinator Manny brought excitement to the residents, announcing that her Christmas, Diwali, 🪔 was approaching and asked if they knew what it means. Resident Anne was quick to respond, exclaiming, “Yes! It’s the festival of lights that is celebrated by the Asian community!” 🕉️🪔

In preparation for their own Diwali party, 🪔🥳 everyone enthusiastically made vibrant lanterns and crafted decorative cards. Resident Edna was very pleased with her lantern! 🖍️🎨🏮

Resident Joan, our very own Picasso, created 🖍️🎨 a truly beautiful piece by colouring in images of Lord Shiva and Ganesh.🕉️

🎭 A Sweet Day Out! 🍫

On Saturday, Activities Coordinator Emma had the pleasure of taking Rita to the Albert Halls in Bolton to watch Charlie and the Chocolate Factory! 🤩 Before the show, they met up with Rita’s son Martin to grab a coffee ☕ before settling down to get comfy and enjoy the performance.

Rita’s daughter Tina was part of the amazing cast, and her granddaughter Jasmine shone brightly 🌟 as the fabulous Violet Beauregarde! 💜 Rita sang along and even had a little dance 💃 — she had an absolute blast!

Emma said it was a real pleasure to go along and that the show was absolutely amazing! 👏

A huge well done to everyone at BCMCS for their fantastic performances! 🎶🎉

Residents enjoyed a bright and beautiful trip to see the Blackpool Illuminations! 🌈✨

Residents Anne and Marjorie said, “Oh, they were absolutely bueatyful!” 💕

Residents Edna and Doreen took a trip down memory lane, reminiscing about visiting the lights when they were young. 🕯️💭

We stopped by Ocean Basket for some good old-fashioned chips and a brew ☕🍟 proper seaside style! 🐟🌊

Residents Audrey and Brenda were mesmerised by the dazzling display proof
that trips like this truly light up our residents’ lives! 💖
