🧶 Knit Happens!
Activity coordinator Manny went round with the knitting box and asked if anyone fancied a go resident Edna jumped at the chance! Already a pro, she as already started knitting a blanket.😄

Resident Enid helped Olive, teaching her how to do a stitch while also trying to unpick a few knots in her bracelet talk about multitasking! 🪢✨

Even resident Jenny had a go, with a little helping hand from care assistant Amanda. A truly sew-per morning. 😊🧵

Our residents, staff, and families absolutely loved the entertainment from the wonderful Bolton Salvation Army South. Their music filled the room with joy, and you can see the smiles and togetherness in every moment. 🎶❤️

✨ A Beautiful afternoon here at Leveredge ✨

Activity Coordinator Manny had a surprise🫢 for our residents by inviting Captains Mark and Alison, along with their brilliant brass band🎺 🎼🎵and choir from the Salvation Army Bolton South. 🎺🎶🎄

The room li up as they played festive Christmas🌲 songs.🎵 Alison even went around with musical🎵🎼 instruments🥁 for the residents to shake along to the music 🎶 and the smiles😊 said it all! 🥁✨

Everyone joined in the Christmas🎄 carols, filling the afternoon with love,❤️❣️ joy,🥰 and warm memories. Families sang proudly beside their loved ones such a touching sight. ❤️

It was lovely 😍🥰👍to see residents kathleen Josie and John enjoying every moment, and resident Vera sang🎤 her heart out! 🎤💫

We would like to say a huge thank you🙏 to the Salvation Army for bringing so much happiness,☺️ fun, and laughter🤣 to our residents. And another heartfelt❤️ thank you to all the amazing👏 staff who came together to help. 🙏❤️

Activity coordinator Manny brought out the nail-polish box, and resident Jean lit up saying, “Ooh, I want mine painting!” 💅✨ She chose a lovely burgundy shade with glitter, ✨️looking very glam. Meanwhile, best friends residents Doris and Marjorie copied each other as always and went for a festive red❤️ colour together 🎄❤️❣️

It was the day of the big reveal, and excitement☺️ filled the room as residents gathered for this year’s Winter❄️ Wonderland grotto decorating competition. ❄️✨

Residents Ernest, Doreen, and many others proudly👏✌️🥰 placed the beautiful decorations they had crafted by hand onto the shimmering✨️🌟 tree.🎄 Each piece reflected their creativity, teamwork, and festive spirit. 🎄💙

Staff members came down to have a look and admired the display, commenting on how different it was this year — all calming blues and crisp winter whites. 💙🤍✨

Resident Anne smiled warmly as she turned to Activity Coordinator Manny and said, “It looks very wintery—such a lovely feel!”❄️
Meanwhile, resident Jean admired the sparkling ✨️💖🌟display and added, “It looks gorgeous!” 🌟

The tree 🌲stood tall, glowing with charm and personal touches, a true masterpiece created by the community. ❤️🎁

✨ ’Tis the season to be jolly! 🎅🎄✨
This afternoon we wrapped ourselves in full festive cheer with some Bucks Fizz 🥂, a slice of cake 🍰, and Christmas music jingling away in the background 🎶. Doris took one look and said, “Ohhh yeah, I wouldn’t mind some of that!” — then she and Barbara raised their glasses with a big festive “Cheers!” 🥂 David happily chimed in that he wouldn’t mind some cake too 😄. Christine blew Emma a kiss 😘 and said, “Thank you, you lovely lady.” And Jean, smiling from ear to ear, said, “This is a nice little surprise!” 😊
Because honestly… who doesn’t love a Bucks Fizz at Christmas time 🎄✨

Resident Jean has already woven hers in beautifully, while Residents Ernest, Anne, and Doreen got wonderfully creative with theirs. Anne even slipped hers on like a necklace, giving Ernest a good giggle! 😂🎄

Resident Arthur didn’t just get a visit… he got a pawsome surprise! 🐾💖
Resident Arthur’s daughter Karen popped in with a very special guest Bella, the lovely, friendly French bulldog he hadn’t seen in three months! 😍🐶

The moment Bella spotted Arthur, she zoomed straight onto his knees, tail wagging like she was powered by pure joy. It was a real “re-bark-able reunion” that melted everyone’s hearts. 💞

The residents absolutely adored her especially resident Barbara, who had her very own little “play-date with fate.” 😄🐾

Days like this remind us that sometimes the best therapy has four legs, a waggy tail, and a whole lot of love. ❤️🐶

🎉 Happy 75th Birthday to our lovely Anne here at Lever Edge! 🎂

Emma put together a little buffet 🥪🍰 for the birthday girl and her friends. We listened to Anne’s favourite singer, Elvis 🎸🎤, and she even added, “I like Cliff Richard too! 🎶” Then we had a lovely visit from her little sister Lucy 👩‍🦳, who brought some delicious chocolates and cakes 🍫🧁.

Anne also received some beautiful flowers 🌸💐 from her daughter, who had them specially delivered 🚚. We all enjoyed a good chat with Anne, reminiscing about her time as a teacher ✏️📚.

We finished the afternoon with a beautiful birthday cake 🎂 made by our cook, Jeanette 👩‍🍳, and everyone sang Happy Birthday 🎶🎉. We all had a wonderful afternoon celebrating Anne! 🥳💖
