Residents enjoyed🥰 a lively afternoon of bingo, organised by activity coordinator, Manny. The tables were set with bingo slips and colourful dabbers,✍️ and excitement😄 filled the room as everyone took their seats, ready to play.

The game began with a line win 🏆 congratulations to residents Doris and Jean for being the first to shout 🗣 out! The excitement😄 didn’t stop there, as residents Edna, Doreen, and Enid each went on to win🏆 a full house! 🏠 There were big smiles😊 all around as winners received their prizes.🏆

It was a fun-filled😁 afternoon full of laughter,🤣 friendly competition, and community spirit. 😃

Activities like bingo help residents stay mentally engaged, promote social interaction, and bring a wonderful sense of joy 😍and achievement.

A Special Day for Fred 🌞🍽️

We had a lovely🥰 moment at the home when resident Fred was surprised with a visit from his eldest son Stewart.

They enjoyed😉 a trip out to Lottie's of Belmont, where Fred tucked🍽 into a hearty Hunter’s Chicken🐥🍗 with a refreshing beer,🍺 followed by a delicious lemon and blueberry sponge cake.🍰

On their way back, they made a quick stop at Winter❄️ Hill, where Fred was delighted🙂 to just about make out Blackpool Tower in the distance — a perfect 😍end to a lovely 😊day.

Today was a very special day — our Activity Coordinator, Emma, finally completed her skydive. 🪂✨

We would like to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who donated and supported her along the way. Your generosity means so much to us and will make a real difference to the lives of our lovely residents here at Lever Edge.

Double the Celebrations! 🎉🎂

What a lovely day of double celebrations🎉🥳🎂🎊 we had today at the home! Residents Edna and Enid celebrated their birthdays🎂🎂🥳🥳 surrounded by friends, family, and plenty of joy.😍

Edna, who turned 87, looked radiant in her tiara👑 and birthday sash as she sipped a glass of wine🍷 and lemonade.🍋 With a big smile,😊 she asked Activity Coordinator Manny, "Is this all for me?" — a touching moment that captured the joy 😍of the day.

Enid who turns 83, was delighted🥰 when her daughters, Tracy and Paula, surprised😲 her by visiting along with other family members. She especially enjoyed cuddles🫂🤗 with her great grandsons, Ollie and Jacob. Enid couldn't thank Manny enough and said it was the best surprise! 😲

Everyone had a wonderful time enjoying the live music🎼🎵 from singer🎤 Joe, who belted out some classic hits. Residents waved 👋their hands,👐 sang 🎤🎼🎶along, and danced💃🕺 in their chairs🪑 — with residents Arnold and Silvia especially enjoying😉 the performance.

To top it all off, Manny received a beautiful bouquet💐 of flowers from Tracy and Paula as a thank-you🙏😊 gesture — a lovely surprise😲 that brought smiles🥰 all around.

A Little Pamper Goes a Long Way! 💇‍♀️💇‍♂️✨

Our residents enjoyed a lovely, pamper thanks to our wonderful in-house hairdresser,💇‍♀️ Kitty. Resident Eileen was all smiles😊 after her fresh trim.💇‍♀️ Activity Coordinator Manny admired her new look, saying, “Ooh Eileen, it looks very nice!”❤️ — to which Eileen struck a pose and cheekily😊 replied, “I’m worth it,” just like the famous L’Oréal advert!

Residents Billy and Derek looked very dapper💇‍♂️ with their fresh clean cuts,💇‍♂️ and resident Tom couldn’t help but smile😆 and say, “I’m off to the Palais!”🕺🕺

It’s heartwarming❤️ moments like these that bring joy,🥰 confidence, and a sense of well-being to our lovely😍🩵❤️ residents — and remind us all of the power of a little self-care and a good laugh.😂 💖

To celebrate National Marine Week,🦈🐋🐚🐳🐙🌊 residents enjoyed a relaxing afternoon of arts🎨 and crafts. With Storm🌀 Floris approaching, Activity Coordinator Manny suggested a creative indoor alternative—making wind💨 chimes from recycled milk cartons.

Rather than throwing the cartons away, which could harm marine life, 🐳🐋🐚🐙🦈residents embraced the eco-friendly project with enthusiasm. They threaded flowers, 🏵🌸beads,📿 metal jewelry, and other items that produce gentle sounds🔉🔕 in the wind.

"It looks beautiful," ❤️said resident Doreen with a smile. 😊Care Assistant Amanda lent a helping hand🤚 to Kathleen as she carefully assembled her wind💨🌀 chime. Activities like this not only encourage creativity but also promote environmental awareness and provide meaningful engagement for everyone involved.

Who doesn’t love a party? 🎉

Resident Doris celebrated
her 81st birthday, 🥳🎂and she had not one, but two lovely surprises!😲

First, she enjoyed ❤️a special outing for tea with her family, which she later told Activity Coordinator Manny she thoroughly enjoyed.❤️ But the celebrations 🎂🥳didn’t stop there—Manny also surprised😲 her with a little party surrounded by her close friends.🙍‍♂️🙍‍♀️

Doris had a wonderful time celebrating🎂🎉🥳🎊 with fellow residents Marjorie and Josie, and everyone joined in singing🎶 Happy Birthday. The fun didn’t end there—Care Assistant Jackie even had a cheeky😊 dance with resident Jean! 💃

A lovely day full of joy, laughter,🤣 and cherished moments. 🥳
