Gut issues like bloating, constipation, acidity, food intolerance, or post meal fatigue aren’t just “normal.” They’re signs your digestive system is out of balance and your body is asking for deeper support.

As an Ayurvedic doctor (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery, India) and a clinical researcher (Master of Research in Clinical Research, UK), I bring together traditional Ayurvedic wisdom and evidence-based understanding of the body. My approach is centered on identifying the root cause of your digestive distress by looking at your unique constitution (prakriti), the nature of your imbalance (vikriti), and the daily patterns that may be contributing to your symptoms.

In Ayurveda, the gut is the seat of health. When digestion is weak, everything from energy and mood to immunity and hormones can be affected.

Here’s how I can support your gut healing journey
1. Personalised Nutrition and Lifestyle Guidance: We’ll tailor a simple, sustainable plan based on your body type including foods, meal timing, and habits to strengthen your Agni (digestive fire), reduce toxins (ama), and promote healthy elimination.

2. Abhyanga and Ayurvedic Body Therapies: Warm oil massage (Abhyanga), herbal bolus massage (Pinda Sweda), and Ayurvedic marma therapy work on the gut and nervous system connection. These treatments calm inflammation, support detoxification, and regulate digestion through the skin and energy channels.

3. Stress and Nervous System Support: Chronic gut issues are often tied to stress. Gentle breathwork, guided daily routines, and nervous system calming techniques help settle the gut brain axis which is crucial for lasting relief.

4. Herbal and Natural Remedies: I may recommend time tested Ayurvedic herbs to heal the gut lining, improve motility, reduce bloating, and enhance absorption always tailored to your constitution and symptoms.

5. Gentle Detoxification: If needed, we’ll use non invasive Ayurvedic detox practices to eliminate digestive toxins and reset your gut. This improves clarity, energy, and food tolerance.

Common symptoms I help with:

* Bloating or heaviness after meals
* Constipation or irregular bowel movements
* Acidity, reflux, or nausea
* Post meal fatigue or brain fog
* Food sensitivities
* Skin or mood imbalances linked to digestion

Ayurveda helps you reconnect with your body and restore balance gently, naturally, and sustainably.

If these symptoms sound familiar, you don’t have to just live with them.

Living with an autoimmune condition can feel like your body is turning against you. Chronic inflammation, fatigue, flare ups, and symptoms that shift from one area to another can leave you feeling frustrated and powerless.

As an Ayurvedic doctor (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery, India) and clinical researcher (Master of Research in Clinical Research, UK), I use a whole body approach to autoimmune care. In Ayurveda, we do not isolate the immune system as the only problem. Instead, we look at how digestion, stress, sleep, and internal balance are all connected to the condition.

Together we explore your unique constitution (known as prakriti in Ayurveda), your current imbalance (vikriti), and the deeper causes that may be driving your symptoms.

Here is how I support clients with autoimmune conditions:

1. Personalised nutrition and lifestyle guidance: We focus on identifying foods and habits that contribute to inflammation and replacing them with calming, supportive practices that match your body type. Your meals and routines become part of your daily medicine.

2. Nervous system support: Chronic stress often plays a big role in autoimmune conditions. We use breathwork, guided routines, and restorative techniques to calm the nervous system and support long term healing.

3. Ayurvedic therapies including Abhyanga: Warm oil massage known as Abhyanga, herbal compress therapy like Pinda Sweda, and marma point treatments are used to improve circulation, ease pain, and calm immune reactivity. These body therapies are deeply relaxing and help regulate the entire system.

4. Digestive support and toxin removal: A strong digestive system is key to regulating immunity. We work to improve your digestive fire or agni through specific food choices, herbs, and routines. When digestion improves, the buildup of toxins or ama reduces, which can help lower inflammation.

5. Natural herbal support: I may recommend gentle, plant based Ayurvedic formulations to support your immune system, energy, and overall strength. These are tailored to your specific symptoms and constitution.

Common symptoms I work with include:

Joint pain or swelling
Fatigue or brain fog
Skin flare ups or rashes
Digestive discomfort or irregular elimination
Hormonal symptoms tied to inflammation
Anxiety or mood changes that come with chronic illness

Ayurveda offers a deeper form of healing. One that respects your body’s rhythms, focuses on the root of disease, and builds strength from the inside out.

If you are looking for a supportive, holistic way to manage your autoimmune condition, I am here to help.

Here’s how I can help you with migraine:

As an Ayurvedic doctor (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery, India) and clinical researcher (Master of Research in Clinical Research, UK), I support individuals in managing migraines by addressing the deeper imbalances that trigger them, not just suppressing symptoms.
As a migraine survivor who found relief through Ayurveda, I can confidently say I understand the struggle on a personal level. Migraines are more than just headaches. They often arise from a complex interplay between your digestion, nervous system, hormones, and daily habits, all of which Ayurveda understands deeply and holistically.

How I Support You Through Ayurveda:

1. Identifying Your Migraine Triggers and Imbalance Patterns: Each person’s migraine experience is different. I work with your unique dosha constitution and imbalance (vikriti) to identify root causes: whether related to digestive fire (Agni), accumulated toxins (Ama), or nervous system sensitivity (Vata/Pitta imbalance).

2. Diet & Daily Routine Adjustments to Calm the Mind and Nervous System: Together, we’ll build a simple, supportive lifestyle plan that reduces your triggers. Whether they stem from food, sleep patterns, stress, or screen exposure. You’ll learn which foods and rhythms help ground your system and prevent attacks.

3. Digestive and Liver Support: Many migraines are linked to sluggish digestion or toxin buildup. I help you strengthen digestion and support gentle detoxification using herbs, food, and Ayurvedic routines improving clarity and reducing frequency of attacks.

4. Nervous System & Stress Regulation with Ayurvedic Tools: Migraine often thrives on a sensitive nervous system. Through calming therapies like marma therapy, warm oil massage, grounding breathwork, and lifestyle guidance, we’ll ease the overstimulation and reduce chronic stress patterns.

5. Herbal Support for Long-Term Relief: Based on your unique constitution and needs, I may suggest classical Ayurvedic herbs that help stabilize the nervous system, reduce inflammation, and improve circulation to the head, all without harsh side effects.

6. Ayurvedic Therapies for Pain and Prevention: Treatments such as shiro abhyanga (head massage), nasya (nasal herbal therapy), and herbal compress massage can reduce pain intensity, improve sleep, and support overall mental clarity.

Migraine-Related Symptoms I Commonly Work With:
* Recurrent or chronic headaches
* Light or sound sensitivity
* Nausea or digestive upset during attacks
* Brain fog or post-migraine fatigue
* Sleep disturbances
* Hormonal migraine patterns (before menstruation)
* Stress-induced migraines

If you’re tired of short-term fixes and want a lasting, holistic approach that honors your body’s natural rhythm, I’m here to support you.

Here’s how I can help you with your hormonal imbalance:

As an Ayurvedic doctor (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery, India) and researcher (Master of Research in Clinical Research, UK), I approach hormonal imbalance by understanding your unique constitution (prakriti), imbalance ( vikriti) and addressing its root cause.
Ayurveda isn’t just about easing symptoms, it’s about restoring lasting balance in your body and mind. It helps you connect the dots and heal what’s been off for far too long.

The support I will offer:

1. Diet and Lifestyle Guidance: I will guide you on the right foods for your body and imbalance type and how to nourish your body in a way that promotes hormonal balance. Simple diet and lifestyle changes, such as eating for digestion and understanding which foods help reduce inflammation personalised to your body type, can make a big difference. You’ll also learn how to adjust your routines to improve your energy and mood while supporting your hormonal health.

2. Gut Health Optimization: A healthy gut is essential for proper hormone synthesis and regulation. I will help you strengthen your digestive fire (Agni) with tailored dietary choices, lifestyle practices, and digestive-supporting routines. A balanced gut improves nutrient absorption, reduces inflammation, and supports your body’s natural hormonal rhythms.

3. Ayurvedic Therapies for Hormonal Balance: Therapies such as marma abhyanga (vital energy point massage), Ayurvedic acupressure massage, and herbal bundle abhyanga massage are deeply relaxing and rejuvenating. These treatments stimulate circulation, balance the doshas, and enhance the function of the endocrine system, promoting hormonal and emotional harmony.

4. Stress Management and Mind-Body Practices: Stress is a major contributor to hormonal imbalance, and Ayurveda offers tools like massage therapies, gentle movement, and breathing exercises to reduce stress and calm the nervous system. These practices can lower cortisol levels, improve mood, and restore balance to your overall system.

5. Personalized Herbal Support: Based on your constitution and specific symptoms, I might recommend natural, plant-based formulations to gently support your hormonal balance. These traditional herbal remedies help restore equilibrium in the endocrine system, enhance vitality, and promote long-term well-being.

6. Detoxification with Ayurveda: If you’re feeling sluggish or have digestive symptoms such as bloating, constipation, or IBS, Ayurvedic detoxification methods can help cleanse your body. Detoxing will remove excess toxins that could be blocking your hormone balance and improve digestive health, helping you feel more energized and clear-headed.

Symptoms I will work on:
* Irregular periods or missed cycles
* Persistent acne or skin issues
* Fatigue or constant tiredness
* Mood swings, anxiety, or depression
* Weight gain or difficulty losing weight
* Low libido
* Sleep disturbances or insomnia
* Digestive issues such as bloating, constipation, or IBS

In Ayurveda, food is seen as medicine, and what we eat directly influences our mind and body.

When we’re no longer addicted to processed junk, we begin to see it for what it truly is, nothing more than empty calories that throw off our natural balance.

Once your doshas are aligned and you nourish your body with whole, vibrant foods, junk food will lose its appeal, and your cravings will shift toward what truly fuels you.

Start listening to your body it knows what it needs.

Save this so you can refer back to the post when you need a reminder.

I’ve observed a surge in interest around detoxing, especially at this time of year. For many, a simple at-home detox can work wonders. As an Ayurvedic doctor, I am sharing some Ayurvedic tips to help you reset and rejuvenate:

1. Start Your Day with Warm Water:

A simple yet effective Ayurvedic practice is to drink a glass of warm water first thing in the morning. This helps to stimulate digestion, and flush out toxins. It’s the perfect way to reset after the holiday indulgence.

2. Try Oil Pulling:

Oil pulling with organic sesame or coconut oil is an ancient Ayurvedic technique that helps remove toxins from the mouth and improve overall oral health. Simply swish a tablespoon of oil in your mouth for 10-15 minutes each morning – it’s a fantastic way to support your body’s natural detoxification process.

3. Herbal Teas for Digestion:

Herbal teas such as ginger, peppermint, or fennel are excellent for soothing digestion and supporting detoxification. Ginger, in particular, aids in boosting Agni (digestive fire) and can help reduce any bloating or discomfort after heavier meals. If you had too much of alcohol, then avoid any tea.

4. Opt for Light, Warming Foods:

After all the festive feasting, Ayurveda recommends eating lighter, easily digestible foods like soups, stews, and kichari (a traditional Ayurvedic dish of rice and lentils). These foods support digestion and are gentle on the body, helping it to restore balance and eliminate accumulated toxins.

5. Abhyanga (Self-Massage):

Our Ayurvedic patients greatly benefit from our therapeutic massage but do you know that self-massage can help you significantly as well? Abhyanga, or self-massage with warm sesame oil, is an incredibly soothing and detoxifying practice in Ayurveda. Not only does it help stimulate circulation and support lymphatic drainage, but it also calms the nervous system, which is crucial after a busy and sometimes stressful holiday season.

As we enter the new year, take some time to nurture your body and mind. These Ayurvedic detox tips can help restore balance, ease digestive discomfort, and support overall health. If you’re looking for more personalised guidance or have any questions, feel free to reach out – I’m here to support you on your wellness journey.

Wishing you all a peaceful and balanced start to the year!
