Sunday afternoons are well spent at Radcliffe Lodge!

Recently, after a shared lunch, the people we support enjoyed a lively game of bingo, with plenty of excitement as the bingo machine came out and prizes were up for grabs.

There was a great atmosphere throughout, with everyone getting involved and enjoying the friendly competition. As a member of the team said, "It’s always a favourite activity at Radcliffe Lodge and a lovely way to spend time together."

Yesterday, we celebrated the graduation of our Future Leaders Programme, and what an achievement it is.

Designed to strengthen leadership skills, align with our values, and support the future growth of Northern Healthcare, the programme is a key part of our commitment to developing talent from within. Taking part is an investment in both personal growth and our shared success, giving our teams the opportunity to build confidence as leaders, expand their networks, and make an even greater impact in their roles.

We’re incredibly proud of all our graduates and can’t wait to see how they continue to grow, develop, and shape the future of Northern Healthcare!

Last Friday, we came together for our Northern Healthcare Awards, a chance to recognise the work happening right across the organisation 🌟

From support teams to service managers and central functions, it was great to have everyone in one place celebrating the impact we make together. Hosted at the Treehouse Hotel in Manchester, and joined by Emmerdale star Bradley Johnson, who helped us present the awards, the day struck the perfect balance of celebration, reflection, and fun!

A well-deserved congratulations to all of our finalists and award winners, and to everyone who continues to make a difference every day 👏

Creativity and independence have been cooked up in the kitchens of Merchants House and Radcliffe Lodge lately 🍫🍰

At Merchant House, one of the people we support has been busy baking up a delicious caramel chocolate biscuit with support from staff; crushing, mixing, layering, and of course, enjoying the end result! Baking has become a real passion, helping her build confidence, learn new skills, and share her creations with others.

Over at Radcliffe Lodge, Tom and Catherine, two of the people we support, have been developing their independence by preparing their own meals. Catherine shared how much she enjoys food prep and how far she’s come since moving in.

From trying new recipes to building everyday skills, it’s great to see people growing in confidence and having fun along the way!

David’s journey is a vital reminder that recovery isn’t linear, but with the right support, progress is always possible.

After leaving hospital, David moved into Moss Lodge, one of our 24/7 supported living services designed to help people rebuild independence and stability . Through determination, routine, and a clear focus on his future, he’s achieved milestones he once thought were out of reach, from gaining employment to working towards long-term career goals.

Northern Healthcare | Our Story

Northern Healthcare is a specialist provider of enhanced supported living services. Our multi-disciplinary teams care for people who may need day-to-day support due to their mental health, a learning disability or brain injury.

Established in 2013 with the opening of our first supported residential service, we have expanded across the UK and now have over 15 enhanced supported living facilities. We are privileged to be able to support our residents and we are dedicated to growing our reach across the UK, improving our residents’ quality of life and delivering the highest quality of care.

We work in partnership with external practitioners and community care teams to ensure robust risk management, and ultimately the best possible outcomes for all our residents.

Our aims are always as unique as each individual we support. We pride ourselves on our clinically led, recovery focused model, which provides individuals with access to high-quality nursing, occupational and psychological therapies, as well as dedicated 24-hour support. We develop care plans alongside our residents; their personal goals and aspirations are always at the heart of everything we do.
