National Dermatologist Day
This year marks my 11th year as a Consultant Dermatologist, and it feels like a moment to reflect on the journey.
I feel incredibly grateful for the opportunities that shaped my career — from dermatology training to fellowships abroad in Sydney, Oxford and Pittsburgh. Each place, mentor and experience helped shape the way I practise dermatology today.
Dermatology is a specialty that constantly evolves, and that’s one of the things I love most about it. Whether it’s diagnosing complex skin conditions, helping patients regain confidence in their skin, or embracing new technologies and treatments, there is always something new to learn.
Over the years, expanding into aesthetic dermatology and hair loss treatments has brought another layer of fulfilment to my work. Being able to combine medical dermatology with aesthetic treatments that restore confidence and wellbeing makes this field incredibly rewarding.
Dermatology is so much more than skin — it’s about improving quality of life.
I’m truly grateful to the mentors, colleagues, and patients who have been part of this journey so far.
Here’s to continuing to learn, innovate, and care for skin for many years to come.
