Hi, I’m Kat, a registered dietitian and menopause nutrition specialist 👋

Drop a 👋 if you are new here or a🩷 if you've been here for a while!

I help women in perimenopause and menopause who feel confused by changes in their body and who are tired of being told ''just eat less and move more''.

I truly believe the reason my approach is so effective is that restriction is always kept out of the equation.
When women shift from fighting their bodies to working with them, the transformation is incredible. Not just physically, but mentally and emotionally too.
It honestly feels like magic sometimes, and I’m so grateful that I get to witness it every day!

I’ve known I wanted to be a dietitian since I was 13, and I genuinely love what I do!

If you’re new here, welcome - I’m really glad you found this space.
And if you’ve been here a while, thank you for being part of this community.

Tell me something about you below so I can get to know you too 👇

January can make it feel like you need to “fix” yourself.
Detox, restrict, start over, push harder.

But for women in perimenopause and menopause, those extremes often make symptoms worse, not better.

Stress hits differently now. Your body is changing.
Also because sleep, digestion, blood sugar, and metabolism all start to shift.

Please remember somehting important. PUnishing yourself and pushing harder than ever will not help you. If anything it will sabotage you.
So please take the time to learn how to understand your body better, look for personalised support not another article on the internet, and focus your energy on realistic strategies that fit your life.

This year, let’s stop fighting our bodies and start working with them. Let's REBALANCE 🤍

Merry Christmas and a gentle reminder from EKVA Care this season 🤍

The holidays don’t need to be about control, restriction, or guilt. If you are going through the menopause transition my guess is that you have enough overwhelming emotions as it is.
This holiday season is a time for you to eat, rest, enjoy, and listen to your body.

We can rebalance in January - gently, personally, and without extremes.

Wishing you a joyful Christmas!🎄

Sugar cravings during menopause are not a lack of willpower. They’re often a sign your body isn’t getting what it needs. When you start eating in a balanced, nourishing way and build sustainable habits, those constant cravings can fade - and I see it all the time in clinic. No detoxes. No miracle supplements. Just personalised nutrition that works with your body, not against it.

STAY TILL THE END FOR THE MOST IMPORTANT TIP! 🎄✨
I have to admit, I always feel a bit cautious giving advice around holiday eating. I really want my patients and clients to feel free to enjoy themselves and to remove any extra stress or overwhelm. That’s something I try to provide every day, but especially around the holidays, when there’s a real chance to connect with family and spend quality time together.
In this video, I share a few simple tips that can help with portion and appetite control over the festive season, so you don’t feel like your appetite is overriding your mind.
But remember: the most important thing is to relax, enjoy yourself, and get back into your routine afterward. A few days of festive meals won’t undo your progress!

It’s always a little awkward to ask for feedback from my clients… but it’s always worth it. 💛
Being part of their journey, even in a small way, is what keeps me inspired to keep learning, growing, and showing up for every woman who trusts me with their health.

Their words are always a reminder that my work is so much more than a focus on food or calories. It’s always about support, understanding, and helping someone feel like themselves again.

If you’re navigating menopause and want personalised support, my 1:1 program, The Rebalance Method, is designed to help you feel balanced, nourished, and empowered. 💛

What's one thing you wish someone had told you about perimenopause?

So many women feel confused, dismissed, or unprepared for the changes that come with this phase.
Energy shifts.
Weight changes.
Gut issues.
Mood changes.
Feeling like your body no longer responds the same way.

If you feel comfortable sharing, leave a comment or send me a DM - you’re not alone here.

Feeling bloated, swollen or exhausted after Christmas dinners?
You’re definitely not the only one and it’s not because you “ate badly.”

During perimenopause and menopause, your digestion slows, blood sugar becomes more sensitive, and stress affects your gut more than before. When you combine that with festive foods, bigger portions, alcohol, and irregular schedules… your body feels it and it reacts.

The goal isn’t to avoid Christmas food because food is part of our social lives and we should enjoy it. The goal is to support your body so you can enjoy it without feeling uncomfortable afterwards.

Try adding protein first, eating slowly, staying hydrated, and taking a gentle walk after meals. Small shifts can prevent huge discomfort.

If you’re tired of feeling bloated, heavy, or out of balance, The Rebalance Method is designed to help you understand what’s really going on and create strategies that work for YOUR changing body.
