!!!! EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH - NOVEMBER 2025 !!!!

Our employee of the month award for November goes to our 2 lovely carers Heather Dixon and Olivia Anne Williams.

Heather and Olivia are a part of our double up team in Cadishead so it was only fitting to award them both for their hard work. They consistently go above and beyond for our service users. Always exceeding expectations and ensuring everybody is well cared for and has everything they could possibly need.

They have recently assisted a service user to dectorate her bedroom to a Harry Potter theme, something she has always wanted but never been able to do. Well now, thanks to these 2 wonderful carers she has the themed bedroom she’s always wanted and it completely blew her away and she even cried some very happy tears.

We would like to thank Heather and Olivia for all their hard work and dedication to their role and would like them to know just how appreciated they are.

A very well done to you both☺️xx

🎄Salford branch will be hosting an office Christmas party this year where both our wonderful carers and lovely service users are all invited.🎄

The dates are as follows:
Tuesday 16th December & Wednesday 17th December open to you all from 10:30-14:30.

There will be a buffet, hot and cold drinks, music, bingo, karaoke and other fun activities for everyone to join in and enjoy the day.

Please feel free to pop in and get involved in the fun and games, we look forward to seeing you there🎄⛄️🎅🏽

We now have our winter packs for your cars available in the office to come and collect as and when you can before the weather gets colder.
There is enough for 1 pack per driver so everybody will be able to get one.

!!!EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH - OCTOBER 2025!!!

Our chosen employee of the month goes to our wonderful care worker Wellington.

Wellington has been with the company since February 2023 and is an outstanding carer who provides extremely high standards of care to our service users. We only ever receive compliments on how he makes service users happy, comfortable and knows how to make people smile. A service users NOK called the office to inform us that she cannot fault Wellington, he is extremely good with her family member and has requested Wellington all the time as she feels at ease that he will be there and reports everything that is necessary.

If ever we are struggling as an office to cover any work or need any assistance we know that Wellington would always help if he can sometimes working extra overtime to ensure his service users needs are always being met.

We are extremely lucky to have Wellington here at Salford with us, he is a credit to us and we would be lost without him.

Well done Wellington!☺️

Meridian Salford are looking urgently for staff who are available to work weekends and evenings. Ideally individuals who have access to a vehicle.

We cover the areas:
Eccles
Irlam
Cadishead

The shifts can vary for the weekends however the shifts for the evenings very often run from between 6pm and 7pm up until around 10pm. If you feel this would be suitable to you then please head over to the meridian careers website and apply for care worker in Salford and we can look at your application to bring you in for an interview.

Hopefully we will see a few new faces in our Salford branch soon☺️

****EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH - SEPTEMBER****

I am pleased to say our employee of the month for September is our lovely carer Katharine.

Katharine has worked with us now for almost 12 months and from the day she started with us she has shown nothing but outstanding care, support and knowledge within her role. The standards of care that Katharine provides to all her service users is nothing short of impeccable and she recieved nothing but compliments from family members, service users themselves and also other professionals who are assigned to Katharine’s regular service users. She is a carer in very high demand in the area she works in. The attention to detail shown whilst out providing care is amazing, from reporting and recording everything adequately and quickly, managing challenging situations and ensuring service users are safe and well, we simply cannot fault a thing.

Not only this but a service user himself called the office and asked if we do employee of the month as he feels Katharine needed to be acknowledged for everything she does, his words being ‘she goes above and beyond, always puts a smile on my face and knows exactly how to do her job without second thought’.

We look forward to watching Katharine continue to provide this outstanding care to our service users and we are extremely grateful to have her on board with us.

I am delighted to say that throughout the month of September I have walked over 100 miles and have raised over £500 for Dementia UK.

I would like to thank each and every person that has donated to this cause, the money raised will help so many people suffering and also families suffering with the unfortunate effects of dementia.

The support I have received has pushed me to want to walk as many miles as possible because walking the miles I have walked is nothing compared to what people have to face day in day out when living with dementia.

💚We are hosting a macmillan coffee morning in the Salford office on Friday 26th September trying to raise some funds to help people and families facing the difficulties of cancer.💚

There are hot drinks and sweet treats available for a donation which can either be paid by cash or card using the QR codes available in the office.

We have the opportunity available to win a prize with a game which is a donation of only £2 and we also have a quiz to have a bit of fun too.

Good evening everyone,

I just wanted to say a massive thank you to everybody who has donated up to now. I have now raised almost £350 and we are not even hallway through yet!!! Hi everyone, this is a post from Jade.

Throughout the month of September I will be walking 30 miles for dementia. This is a fundraiser to raise money for individuals and families suffering from the effects of living with dementia.

This is something very close to my heart for personal reasons and seeing my own family go through the suffering of dementia but also because I have got 8+ years experience in care and throughout those years I’ve witnessed the difficulties that come with dementia.
From individuals forgetting how to do general day to day tasks to the extreme of forgetting their family members. Dementia has a real hard and distressing effect on the person suffering and also the families having to watch their loved ones change from somebody they once knew to somebody they barely recognise day by day, week by week, something nobody should have to experience.

Please if you could donate anything to help this organisation support people and families living with dementia. As little as £5 can help support one family with a support session via telephone.

Any donation will be appreciated and thankyou for taking the time to read through this post.
