Zack has created this fantastic poster for blind awareness month!
Here is a little insight on Zack's story, written by zack.

I had a Craniopharyngioma which is a BRAIN TUMOUR
I had major surgery to remove the BRAIN TUMOUR but most of it Calcified

My mum was complaining to the nurses that I had really bad swelling and couldn’t see my mum kept complaining until someone listened.

I had a BLOOD CLOT for 72 Hours this is why I lost my eye sight.

I lost all my vision in my right eye and was left with 2% vision in my left eye I have NO Colour Vision, NO Peripheral Vision and NO Quadrant Vision.

I lost my vision when I was 9 I have learnt to get used to it it’s normal to me now.

I get around using a white RNIB CANE Large Roller Ball and use my memory as much as possible

There is many gadgets out there now for people with poor vision or registered blind Talking Microwaves, Water Level Indicators, Anti Slips mats, Plate Guards, RNIB Canes, TALKING GLASES

If I was able to see normally again and have full colour vision would I take it. NO I wouldn’t I have grown used to how I live with having very little vision and how I get around using my white Cane and memory

I’m happy how I am and just because I’m BLIND doesn’t stop me enjoying Wood Shack Producing lovely wood work like my Carousels, Train Planters, Truck Planters and much more

I’ve also started gaming and streaming on to YouTube which I really enjoyed.

Each month we have a client newsletter, which is planned and typed out by a team of amazing clients on the newsletter project.
We capture some of the great things people we support have achieved in different projects.

Wendy who is our chief news agent has written a lovely piece about Gordon Riggs garden centre which is just amazing to read. Wendy's writing skills really have improved since she started the newsletter project very nice to see.

Below we also have a piece written about the woodshack project.

Following on from a couple of months back where our upcycling project redesigned some boring chairs and recycled unused football kits to make them look a lot brighter.

We were introduced to a few guys from DALE 1907 who asked us if we would like to get involved in making a flag for the stadium, well we had to put our touch on it and keep up with our recycling idea.

So with that our team decided to make a flag out of unused football kits and how amazing does this flag look! 😍

The second flag is still in process and we can not wait to see it finished.

Our upcycling team have really enjoyed doing this project and was so amazed when DALE 1907 come to visit them and took some fantastic pictures ⚽️💙

Unfortunately for Pure and our football team it was coach Robbie’s last
match before he leaves for new adventures.
What other way could we help him bow out other than wearing the famous Viper’s mascot costume, which he gamely wore and looked amazing!
The match against Stockport Spartan’s was played at Rochdale Football
ground and was one of our best, with the Viper’s beating the Spartan’s 26—
6, with every Viper player scoring a goal! Marking an awesome end to
Robbie’s coaching skills. All the player’s and staff wish Robbie all the very
best in his new job.

Watch our brand new video highlighting Pure Support at Pure Gardening in Alexandra Park, Oldham!

Here we offer support to adults with a learning disability who can learn gardening skills, support local community, join in other activities around the park and as well as socialise with their peers and grow their confidence.

In the video we hear from client Isaac who loves what he does here as well as from Support Worker, Nicola who encourages anyone considering it are more then welcome to come and join us!

This week our Music Project has been learning about WHAM!

The group has worked hard not just learning the music sheets but also listening to the music and trying to pin point what kind of instruments are being used.

It is great seeing the group get stuck into deep conversation between themselves around music! 🎼
