πββοΈ Preparing for the Manchester Half Marathon this Sunday?
Weβve opened extra appointments tomorrow (Saturday) for runners who want to make sure their body is moving efficiently before race day.
At the Clinic, we often see runners come in with:
β’ Shin splints from overload or poor shock absorption
β’ Knee pain (patellofemoral or IT band issues) due to altered hip mechanics
β’ Plantar fasciitis and calf tightness from limited ankle mobility
β’ Lower back or hip discomfort linked to poor pelvic control
When assessing runners, we donβt just look at the area of pain β we assess how the body moves as a whole:
β’ Pelvic alignment and lumbar mechanics
β’ Foot and ankle mobility
β’ Muscle imbalances between hip flexors, glutes, and hamstrings
β’ Compensation patterns that develop over time and lead to overuse injuries
Our goal is to identify the root cause, correct the movement pattern, and help you recover faster β so you can run smoother, stronger, and pain-free.
