The bin here at the Burton Road Clinic has been pinched!
It’s bright red with a black lid with our name and phone number all over it. It won’t be emptied as it’s a commercial bin. If anyone sees it around please could you let us know.

39: Callout – 19 November 2022 The team’s second callout of the weekend came from a gentleman who had been walking his dog on Kinder Scout when he slipped and badly injured his knee. He was in significant pain but had managed to make his way to an area that had mobile reception in order to make the call for help. We were able to establish his exact location using PhoneFind and fortunately were able to drive our off-road vehicles to Edale Cross to allow us to get to him quickly. Four hill parties were used to bring in a stretcher and then after administering pain relief, were able to carry him back down to a waiting ambulance in Coldwell Clough. His wife was able to meet us to collect their dog before he was transported on to hospital. The team wishes him a speedy recovery.

The Burton Road Clinic is pleased to welcome Jack Edwards, Registered Osteopath, to the team. Jack graduated with a distinction in his MSc(osteopathy) from the University College of Osteopathy (formerly BSO) and will be a great addition to the clinic.

It’s been a busy week for exercise! Started with a Biomechanics of Running course at Wasps training ground in London learning about evaluation and correction of running inefficiency that can limit performance or cause injury…..

Some patients are asking whether we are open throughout this latest lockdown. Yes, we are. Since the last lockdown we have been practising safely using PPE and cross infection control. Feel free to ring to make an appointment or ask about our covid policy.

We are pleased to report that throughout the latest UK lockdown we will remain fully open. As we provide Healthcare services we have not been asked to close, and having protective screens, all of the necessary PPE and cross-infection control in place we are a safe environment for patients and staff.
